contemporary garden rooms

Has anyone seen the recently improved rooms at the Cont. garden wings? I understand they were re-done. The old ones were pretty plain. Also looking for feedback on this hotel. Thanks

I also want feedback for this resort. DS and I love AKL, but I thought it might be worth trying it our since it is on the Monorail.

Any opinions out there in DIS land?

I love the Contemporary! I have never stayed in the wings, but they do look like they would be nice! The rooms are pretty cool, and have a contemporary look to them!

Stayed in the North Wing last July and loved it!!!!!!!!The rooms are really large and beds were soooo comfy! I can't imagine that it's been re-done since we were there as everything was spotless. I only wish we could swing the $ and stay there again. The monorail is absolute heaven after a long hot day. My KIDS PERSONAL FAV. OF THE RESORT...THE ARCADE AND THE SLURPEE MACHINE!!!!!! The bathrooms are nice as the toilet area is behind its own door and the vanity has 2 sinks a shelf and tons of counter space. The floors in the bath are marble tho, and we accidentally dropped a glass that shattered everywhere The carpet is very plush and the daybed is truly a bed if you need it. We also had alarge cooler that we kept in the room and there is plenty of floor space and dresser/storage. I cannot say enough great things about this resort, even tho I'm sure each one is fun and exciting in their own way. Rent a watermouse for a bit,,,they are a blast! Also...not too much shade at the pool area, but very large and plenty of chairs.Pool bar is nice to have nearby too. Be ready to feed the ducks...they are very friendly! You will have a wonderful, memorable time at the Contemporary.

We just stayed in the South Wing in January, and LOVED IT!!! The rooms are done in bright, whimsical colors throughout. The bathrooms are huge, and have a great layout, and are done in black and white. Our room had a great view of Bay Lake, where you could lie in bed and watch the Electrical Water Pageant. We were on the 3rd floor, non smoking. We didn't find the walk to the main building to be bad at all, and we were in a room facing the water. I would definitely recommend the Comtemporary Garden/Wing rooms. In fact, it is our favorite resort, thusfar!

We have stayed in both the wings and the tower and we will never go back to the tower. We requested the North Wing, bottom floor, and we asked for a room the closest to the wing entrance because this is where the snack bar is. We got what we asked for and loved it. We had a patio we could sit and talk to walker bys, I could go out the patio door and over to the snack bar with a hop and a skip and be right there, and the ducks would great us every morning at the patio doors. The room is large and the decor is a little on the whimsical side! the arcade is huge, the snack bar is big and has alot to offer, the pool is fun with a big water slide! I hope you guys have a great time!

LOL, Jo! My mom says the same thing! I, however, find them to be pretty cool!!!
