We have booked a standard view room. Anyone have any suggestions of ways to ensure we get the "best" standard has to offer? (Ahh -- If only we could afford tower...maybe someday!) Any room nimbers or descriptions we might use if we fax a request letter? We will be staying for 8 nights and I can't wait!!!!!We're travelling with a 7 year old, so maybe something near the pool or food court would be good for us. Is that even possible with standard view?
Help, please, I'm so lost!!!! Never been to the contemporary!! Uggh, I hate not knowing........
Thanks for any thoughts.

We stayed at the Contemporary in July, 2000 and we really liked the hotel! We had booked standard room, and made no room requests except for non-smoking. We were in the North Garden Wing, second floor (sorry I don't remember the exact room number). From our window, we could see the fireworks at MK. In the morning, we would walk over to MK, then ride the monorail back (its the first stop on the way back). It was really a short walk to the pool and the main lobby.

One of the things my little girl loved to do was to sit and watch the Disney cartoons that played on the TV right outside the arcade. Its a great place to people watch too!
