Contemporary DVC construction

I had the chance to parasail this past weekend at the Contemporary, and shot these images of the construction of the new DVC resort while in the air. I heard from one of the workers there who said he is friends with an engineer on the job that it is quite a bit ahead of schedule, and that if they continue on their present pace they will be finished in mid-2009.

The first image is from the ground, and is a shot from underneath the new skybridge.

The second two are lakeside shots from about 15 stories feet up.

Cool shots! I can't imagine having the nerve to parasail, I bet the views were incredible.
How did you manage to hang on to a camera?

I thought about parasailinig while I was down there but the wife I dont think is very much interested. Thanks for the pics.

It was a great experience, though expensive, and worth it. You never get wet; take off from the back of the moving boat, and are in a swing-like harness that is connected to the lines of the parachute. Then they play out the rope slowly and you just float up in the air. After your time has elapsed, they just reel you back in.

we parasailed there too and enjoyed it! Though it was about 8 years ago!

Are they building another pool for the CR DVC tower ?

Do you think there would be a walkway to it ?

Could guest of the CR and the CR DVC use all the pools ?

Great photos! Thanks so much for sharing. I still want to know what that steel structure on top is going to be. Very interesting.
