I do it every time - I want to stay here due to close proximity of MK but usually chicken out and change the reservation to cut costs. I'm scheduled for 6/3 - 6/10/2006. We are tower room, MK view, and bought the dining plan.

Any words of wisdom why this is a GREAT choice and I should just leave the reservation alone?

As long as you can afford it, it is an amazing choice. Love the view. And the ease of getting to either MK or Epcot. You will love it (if you leave it alone).

If you want to reduce costs a little, you could see if anything is available in the garden wings. Not as nice as the Tower view-wise, but you have all the other benefits of staying at The Contemporary. We loved our North wing room and loved The Contemporary. Our room was very roomy and had a nice patio and a pretty view of a small pond and trees. Bunnies and ducks went by now and then, and the kids loved it. Can't say I liked the room decor, but all the other advantages made up for the purple/green color scheme!

We stayed at The Dolphin this year and enjoyed it very much, but our favorite is The Contemporary. The kids want to go back to the "hotel with the monorail."

Having the monorail so close and MK within walking distance just can't be beat. You will love it.

We're staying there in 3 weeks, can't wait. You'll have the benefit of having the refurbed rooms, I think they'll be done with all of them by then, no more purple multi-colors! The new rooms look fabulous!!!
We're staying (thru a wish organization for my daughter) there mostly due to the convenience to the parks, combined with the view of (hopefully) the Castle......best for getting back to the room if necessary, and then back to the parks again!
