Wave at the passing monorail while you order on touch-screen kiosks. Menu items include flavorful flatbreads and hot and savory sandwiches, like honey lime chicken.

This place sounds cool, but there wasn't a menu on Disney's site. If anyone has been there, please tell me what you thought.

I really liked the flatbread I had there, I would eat there again.

Some of my favorite items on their menu is the Chicken Ceasar Salad with the dressing tossed in, Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza and the Spice Crusted Mahi Sandwich. Also on Saturday's only their soup of the day is always Corn Chowder and on that day I always like to order it.

Although edible I was not impressed with Contempo Cafe. We usu stay at CT so CC is convenient. If Disney doesn't change their food it will surely hurt attendance plain and simple.

The eating area is quite small for such a big hotel but we had burgers in January and they were fine. We would eat there again if we were too tired for TS. The staff were super nice :thumbsup2

I actually thought the eating area was actually big because it had a lot of tables, which was more then the Food & Fun Center had. Plus the Contempo Cafe had opened up where the Concourse Steakhouse use to be, so fact it replaced a table service restaurant meant it was already a big space.

CR is the only place we've stayed at Disney so I guess I don't have anything to compare it to. Maybe it just seemed small because it was full and we had trouble getting a table. ;) It always seemed fairly busy so I figure the food must be pretty good :thumbsup2

We just got back today from a stay at CR. The food at Contempo was very good. We liked the flatbreads a lot, but the other food items were good too.

I had the cheese flatbread & DH had the cheeseburger. Both were fine, nothing special. The desserts we had were not good, cookie & some type of cupcake. It was a nice mid-day break from the parks and a place to people watch.

DW and I stayed a week at CR last year, and so we ate at Contempo Cafe several times for B, L & D. Despite an otherwise disappointing stay, we were always favorably impressed with the Cafe. The touchscreen ordering system is highly intuitive and the service was generally quite efficient. Also, we never had to do battle with other patrons for a seat, as is often the case at Value Resort food courts. Perhaps most impressive was the freshness of the food that was served. There was never any heat lamp flavor in whatever we ordered, even with breakfast!

Of course, the touchscreen also allows them to alter their prices without warning. We were on the DDP, and so that didn't matter to us, but it might have been an issue otherwise.
