Contemp DVC models are ready!!!

so far the only dvc resort to offer conceirge is the AKV. and that is because the dvc units are in the concierge section.

why excited about a dvc resort near the CR - will there is thing call the monrail..... love it!!!

you can walk from the CR to the MK (you can't from the GF).

those are 2 of the top things. (my opinion)

yes it will drive the price up - but every year the DVC price has increases - not matter what.

that say not expecting CR to be alot more than AKV and SSR. when it first opens for sales expecting the same price. It is only after the two months when they allow ONLY members to buy - that there is a price increase.

or that is how it was done.

with CR (BLT) DVC members can walk to Epcot, Studios and MK!!!!

since the MK is a favorite park of millions - well it will sell out fast.

besides it was the first WDW resort.

they are actually using murphy beds - that is WONDERFUL. much better than those sleeper sofa (my opinion)
I believe the murphy bed in the VGC replaces the "pullout chair" as the bedding for 5th-person in a 1BR. Their will still be pullout sofas.

Oct.... I had heard from my DVC guide that the may be on sale as soon as June
any one else hear this????

I always get a "big" gift for my birthday from my Husband. My guide told me NOT to ask for a car again this year and to ask for BLT points....My B-day is July 31st....He said I "may" even be able to get my gift early.

I love how we (my guide and me) have to talk in code with out saying what we are really thinking.:rotfl2:

So, I would not be surprised if they go on sale in June.

Okay - who's going to volunteer to go tour the AKV rooms at SSR and send their kid off with a camera to "find a bathroom"......:rotfl: :lmao:

I wonder if the models are ready at Doorway to Dreams too? popcorn::

I was there one week ago today (Friday). They ain't.

Whole thing is AKV, and there really isn't any room for a CVilla. Although I can't remember if the store next door was actually occupied....

Slightly off topic question. I'm new to DVC - when a new property becomes available for sale to current owners what type of minimum points purchase do they require?

I'm thinking of adding on for BLT but I'm a single and don't need a ton of points.

Thanks

I don't have a kid, but I have a DH who is REALLY good at asking for forgiveness LATER, did try to go through that mystery door last summer and he does know how to use a digital camera. However, he's an engineer, so you might get a lot of pics of the lights, the flat screen TV and if we're lucky, the kitchen. But we won't be in WDW until August.

When we were touring the VGC models, he was opening all the doors!

Right now 25 points is the minimum for an Add-on

Actually, it was one of the first 3 resorts. :)

no 2 - don't consider fw to be a resort.

the other resort - golf inn, disney inn and I think it was called something else did not open until later.

the Market place village - called a bunch of names before Disney institute - was not open then either.

surpose because they caught someone in this area - it is closed off.

the disers was saying going in the back door (you know where the parking lot for these building are). even then would think it would be locked up tight.

someone got mad.

you know how easily disney can put up a wall.

The twin-bed murphy is in addition to the sleeper sofa. The 1BR will sleep 5 total.

OK,

Here is a REAL Simpsons fan....
.... along with ZekeKelso and yourself!

But now I'm curious: if you are staying in the CR, can you hear or feel anything when the monorail goes through the building?

You can't hear or feel anything while you are in your room :thumbsup2

Actually, Poly was open on opening day. The third that DVCconvert might have thought of was Fort Wilderness, but like you said, that's not a resort, and it opened six weeks after the other two did, but that might be close enough to count. :)

At least as far as I know...
