Contemp booked 1st 2 weeks of Dec?

Hubby & I were debating changing our ressies to try a new place and it appears that the Contemp is completely booked between Dec 1 and Dec 16 (at least from checking the WDW site)....anyone know if there is something going on during that time that would account for it? I know PW will be at WDW during that time, but I thought they stayed at value resorts?

That's funny because my family and I were able to get a reservation at the Contemporary for this December, starting on December 13 and only made the reservation about 3 weeks ago. As to why you can't get a room my guess it has to do with a convention so if you really want to stay there keep checking because chances are a room will open up, you just have to keep trying everyday for that to happen.

Try EVERYDAY. The CR was completely booked the second week in December 2007. But I tried everyday and something came up last minute. In the end, we got upgraded for free to the tower.

Try Expedia or some of the other travel sites. I've noticed they have rooms when CRO shows no availability.

Just a few weeks ago I was trying to check for availablity for the BCV and there was nothing on the website. I thought I would call and check as well. When I called and checked my dates there was availablity and I still got my AAA discount for the first & second week of Dec. Try calling and see if there is availablity. Although,I do think mousefest is that week so there maybe an availablity issue.
