Contacting DVC?

I wanted to reach out on a topic to the DVC management. I spent about 45 minutes searching through the threads to try and find the old thread where a bunch of folks from here were reaching out about the change in the charts for 2019 (the lock-out premium situation). Does anyone out there remember the e-mail that was used to contact them at the time? I know it was posted a bunch of times but I just can't find it.

All emails, even those to executives get routed to the supervisors at member services who will call you “ on behalf of the office of (insert exec name here.” So I wouldn’t stress too much about the right email address. Just use the contact us tab on the member site or give member services a call.

There were two long threads on the issue of the proposed 2020 point charts that never actually became the point charts: 2020-point-charts.3725229 and https://www.disboards.com/threads/w...to-stop-revert-the-2020-reallocation.3726101/

I do not know about others but I did not send an initial email. Instead I sent a long letter to Terri Schultz, the Senior VP in charge of DVC, pointing out why I believed the new point charts were improper. I addressed the letter to her at the main DVC office: 200 Celebration Pl, Kissimmee FL 34747. I was then contacted by, and had emails and a long phone call with, DVC officials assigned to the issue.

Based on recent experience.... CALL CALL CALL CALL. DVC will not respond to any EMAIL. Forget "Chat"... CALL CALL CALL CALL.

I've been trying to get through to member services for 2 days, always busy signal. When is the best time to call?

Not my experience. I never called, used only emails and I have been replied to or contacted evey time. One must insist if he receives a standard email reply, but it is no different from asking to talk with a supervisor on the phone.

I only call for time sensitive issues. Otherwise, I email. I have always received an answer. Sometimes, the same day, sometimes, 3 or 4 days (probably depends on how busy they are).

They must be really busy now. I am still waiting for a reply to an email I sent to Member Satisfaction on June 2nd.
When I emailed Member Satisfaction again on June 17th asking when I could expect a reply, I received a response from Member Satisfaction that my correspondence was sent to Member Services for assistance. Any additional communication will come directly from Member Services.
I am still waiting for an answer to the question I sent on June 2nd.

I'm sure they are! Members have lots of questions & concerns related to the closures, point/ticket/TIW extensions, delayed banking allowances, borrowing restrictions, OTU refunds, etc. etc. The list goes on and on. Each of those calls is almost certainly taking longer than the calls received pre-closure.

I'm sorry you've had to wait so long. I think the waits and frustrations will continue at least until we get through the initial surge for dining and park reservations. Hope you hear back soon - at least you will have a written response to your questions. I really like that feature of email questions. :)

I have been trying to cancel a reservation online for over a week. The site continues to fail. I tried sending an email through the site without any response. I try to make a call and just get a busy signal. What is going on. It is like they turned off the systems. Is the email address to use Members@DisneyVacationClub.com or is it something else to cancel a reservation.

Sadly, based on performance? DVC is out of business. This will change, when real performance changes. Today? They have ZERO performance.

Our plans:

1) Rent all stolen DVC points. $1.00 a point is better than $0.00 per point.
2) Ditch any current AP, Request Partial Refund, buy a NEW AP - active on first use.
3) Challenge 2021 dues, as WDW is renting more DVC points, than they actually own.
4) Seriously consider selling all contracts, for whatever we can get, if DVC behavior continues in this fashion.

I find it best to call them as soon as their line Is available in the morning always get through

What is the basis for this statement?

My DH remarked that RCI lists a number of SSR 1 bedrooms available in the next couple of months, and it made me think about all the points people deposited to RCI because they wouldn't be able to use them before expiration and wanted to extend their life for two more years.. And of course there are probably many DVC rooms unbooked within the 60-day breakage window, therefore available for Disney to rent for cash.

So what is the basis for your statement?

Simple math. As you are informed.... How many DVC points does WDW own? Now, how many points is WDW renting, via transfers to DVC properties?

I'm not going to sit here & do your homework for you. Take A) How many DVC points does WDW own? Subtract B) - how many points are being rented by way of transfer?

The fun part - try to find this data. NO ONE can find this data. It's very well hidden.

Currently? Due to transfers from Rental Units.... it's a LOAD. Fortunately, there is a valid DVC yearly Accounting Report. Let's see what it looks like, for 2020. I maintain - Disney is currently using more DVC points than it owns. If you don't own it, you can't rent it. If you DO rent it, without owning it? That cash needs to go back to the DVC Owners, by lowering their 2021 dues.
