Construction Question Hawaii DVC

Planning to stay at the new DVC resort in O'ahu in October 2011. I've read the phase 1 construction will be done and the resort will be open by the end of August 2011. Does anyone know what phase 1 construction includes. I'm afraid we will get there and there will still be construction going on.

Most likely there will still be construction going on during your visit, but the heavy construction should be completed. Some of the interior rooms and villas have a completion date in 2013.

Construction or not, enjoy your stay.

There will be constuction in the rest of that building. Mostly interior work like drywalling, painting, fixtures, furniture, etc. I booked for sept and the the CM read from a prepared script advising members of the ongoing construction. The first phase is the forward "wing" of the resort that runs waikiki to waianae (cloer to the front of the resort). The rest of the construction in the resort is on the section running mountain to ocean(closer to the lagoon). Phase 2 is scheduled for dec 2011 opening.
