Do you belong to AAA? You can order a TripTik (sp?) from your local office, they will map out the best route for your trip and note on the map where there is construction.
Check the DOT websites for each state you're driving thru. There's typically a section on road construction with specifics on what's involved (lane closures, etc.) and timing. AAA is another good source, but I think it's essentially the same info you can get from each state....
From Indiana, you'll just about have to go through Kentucky on your way. In Kentucky, you can call 511 on your cell phone and get fairly up to date traffic, construction and even tourism information for the major roads like I-75 and I-65.
You could also try: www.I75exitguide.com It has construction links for all the states that I75 runs thru. We used it for our trip down to WDW this past Easter.
grimley1968- yes we will be going through KY one way or another. I am leaning toward I65-I24-I75 route. I will be the one driving through the mountain areas and I KNOW this route isn't too bad as far as that's concerned. I am a little leary of I75 straight down as I am unsure of how long it will take to get through them that way.
