Constant Worrying

Thank you for this thread. My mom was a huge worrier and I inherited it from her.

I worry about everything to the point I don't look forward to things that should be fun. My social anxiety ruins the thought of having friends or taking trips. I drive DH crazy and I think I'm starting to rub off on him. He used to be a "whatever" type of person, now he is getting like me :sad2::sad2:

I realize all this worry is self-centered. I have recently starting reading books on Buddhism to find some answers. The best thing I have learned so far is to put others before yourself - if you are "worried" about their happiness, you forget about yourself.

I used to be... it took me years but I learned to swap fear with FAITH. I used to ask my Dad why he NEVER worried and he told me "keep on living..."

Now I totally understand what he meant!:thumbsup2

Im a terrible worrier. I worry about everything. I started seeing a therapist last year because I just couldn't cope anymore. She started me on Lexapro for depression and effexor for anxiety. I feel so much better now. It has definitely worked for me.

I wish I could be like my husband too. He has the "whatever, life happens", laid back attitude. So not me.
