It took me all of half a minute to find this lie by Brett Baier:

BRET BAIER (FOX NEWS CHIEF POLITICAL ANCHOR): I think that that was the definition of where we are. There is this thought on the right and some corners of the right that Fauci and Birx are steering the president toward lockdown 100% of the time. They are providing their advice. There's a thought on the left that the president is ignoring their advice and just opening up everything and doing it dangerously.

He is promoting this fake dichotomy.

How is that a lie? He simply said how some on the right and some on the left feel or believe. Are you saying the left and right feel/believe the same thing and he’s lying about that? I’m confused.

There is nothing fake about that. He didn’t take a side, didn’t offer his opinion, etc.

People on the left and people on the right do have different thoughts or opinions on this, just like any other issue!

I don't know anyone on the left or right who believes that Fauci/Birx is promoting 100% lockdown or that the White House is promoting opening up 100%.

The White House has issued guidelines about opening up and only extremists, for their own political purposes, say that the polar opposite dichotomy Baier is promoting is real.

The debate is how much/when not everything/never. There was never 100% lockdown, so that right off the bat is an impossibility.

Looking carefully at your chart, Fox is listed as "some reliability issues and/or extremism." That is already a BIG 'and/or' which is partially why the chart is a bit weird and misleading. Since being unreliable and extremism are two very different things. CNN does not fall into that category. They fall into "Reliable/ High in Analysis and Opinion." CNN's Source Reliability rating is much, much higher than Fox, and the rating for MSNBC is a bit higher than Fox, about 7 points higher. But that represents a high percentage (at least a third higher.)

I doubt you could name a single lie that Rachel Maddow has told on her MSNBC show as where it would take a long time to list the lies told on Fox news. Her broadcasts are fact-filled and do an incredible job looking at current events through the lens of history. I could say the same for Lawrence O'Donnell, Chris Hayes, Ari Melber, and Brian Williams.

When CNN interviews an expert on the CIA, foreign policy, or many other subjects they have tremendous credentials and experience. In addition, the present White House press secretary used to regularly appear on their Election coverage along with many other prominent supporters of both political parties. CNN covers the news, whether it's the downing of an airplane or the release of Hilary's emails. They get regularly criticized by left-leaning organizations like Media Matters.

So please don't lump them in with Fox.

I get it you are right in ways, but the fact remains that all those shows are infotainment opinion shows. Yes Fox goes way out farther in their crazy toxic stuff, but when we started listening to these opinion 24 hour cable infotainment news it was the end of us, really, a virus took hold. Yes according to the chart CNN and MSNBC are better, I think they are better but WE CAN ALL DO BETTER. We can watch real news, not these opinion stations that throw bits of news in, they are on to MAKE MONEY by pushing their side of an issue. It isn't healthy and you cant just get rid of Fox, that wouldn't work would it. They all should go because they are not really news, opinion shows are not news.

I don't blame them too much. Just look at the ratings for C-Span. They are pathetically low. People want to be entertained. Only time C-Span was entertaining was when Ted Cruz was reading Green Eggs and Ham during a filibuster.

I have a friend who sits and watches Fox all the time. Then she acts surprised when we have a weather event locally. She says she doesn’t watch the local news. It’s too depressing. Seriously she is a mess with all the crazy stuff she hears on fox.

CNN has actual reporters and investigative journalists. They put most emphasis on the biggest stories. When the biggest thing going on was the Malaysian Air disaster, that's what they covered. The biggest stories now involves the the pandemic and the protests. I have been watching the protest coverage, and there is real coverage going on with journalists and cameras. In fact, almost all the protest coverage now consists of camera shots and raw description of what they can see. They will talk with anyone on site willing to talk with them. Hour after hour. That is not infotainment. Perhaps you haven't been watching, but that's what a TV news channel should be doing.

Yes they mix in real news, they are way better than Fox, Fox does it too with Brett Bair and Shepard Smith who I think now exited. But they are about pushing a certain agenda. They got our potus elected also whether you like it or not, they talked about him all day long. Putting on certain things and not other things is also something they do to suit their views. They push what makes them the most money. I remember wanting to hear about some of the people that were running on the left and they put on a minute of it, then went on to talk about what crazy thing Trump did or a candidate they liked. Whether you realize it or not, pushed and gave air time to who they wanted to run on the democratic side. It isn't right. They have an agenda, yes they do better and they do do real news also but it isn't the same as a real news station. They have opinion shows mixed in. I used to watch them, no more. They are about making money that is what they are about so they push the stories that do that, they even make controversies worse, they all do it. I'm tired of it. Just bc they suit your agenda doesn't make it right it is suppose to be news, only news.

There were many that said they exploited the Malaysian air disaster, there was a lot of speculation also. It was all about ratings. They speculate a lot that isn't news. I get the feeling you are putting CNN in a "damned if you do damned if you don't" position. I am not going to blame them for covering the biggest stories that people have a pressing urge to know about. So what POTUS says or tweets becomes the news, like it or not, and a mysterious airline disaster touches everyone in a very immediate sense. Plus who doesn't like a mystery?

What I don't want them to do is to promote lies or interview people with fake credentials. But I am not going to complain if they cover a big news story extensively.

The current press secretary for the White House was a regular panelist and commentator on CNN during their 2016 campaign coverage. So was a slew of Republicans as well as Democrats. Republicans included Rick Santorum, Anna Navarro, Jason Miller, Rick Wilson, Steve Schmidt, Nicole Wallace, Steve Cortes, Jeffrey Lord, SE Cupp, Michael Smerconish, Hugh Hewitt, Matt Lewis, and many others. They regularly interview Republican Senators and Representatives. Cupp and Smerconish now have their own shows on CNN, Nicole Wallace is on MSNBC and Hugh Hewitt even got his own show on MSNBC, though I think that's over with.

There were some pictures taken that were local to me. The stack of brick was about 5 feet from a brand new brick walkway. It seemed pretty obvious that they were leftover from the construction.
