We have booked a 5 night Stay...
Consierge level at Polynesian with lagoon view....

Now we were wondering if we should split our Stay so we could try Animal Kingdom consierge level as well ??

arrive:
Friday May 14 Animal Kingdom
Saturday May 15 Animal Kingdom
Sunday May 16 Depart Animal and arrive Polynesian
Monday May 17 Polynesian
Tuesday May 18 Polynesian
Wednesday May 19 Depart Polynesian...

If we split we could take the special Safari tour early morning...

But when we split the stay - it seems that we will miss almost a half day buy moving luggage and check in and check out...?

Do you know if Consierge level will move our luggage from Animal Kingdom to Polynesian ?
or do we have to move it ?

What would you do ??
Stay 5 nights at Polynesian or spilt stay ???

The resorts will move your luggage for you, all you have to do is repack, call bell services, and check in to the next resort! Your schedule would work with the sunrise safari as that is held on Tuesdays and Saturdays. If you have small children I might rethink splitting resorts. I know my youngest was an up all nighter when he'd be in a new location. After a few days, he'd feel comfortable, thus sleep!

I have only stayed at AKL concierge, but loved it! Poly is on the list. They both get rave reviews!

Happy planning,
Debbie

I agree with the above poster. If you do not have children (or your children are pre-teens/teens) splitting your stay would allow you to enjoy both resorts and the sunrise safari at AKL. With small children, however, I would probably stay with your original plans for 5 days at the Poly. They can get used to the same room/resort, you will be on the monorail for easy access to the room during the day, the pool/beach layout is very child friendly and the Poly concierge staff are very responsive to special needs/requests for the children. Either way, you are sure to have a great trip. Post a trip report for us when you come back!

I'm not big on splitting stays. It just seems disruptive, and takes more time IMHO than many allude to.

I'm not real big on splitting my stay~but everyone is different. It's going to take me a few nights to even sleep in the first place~then moving to another is going to knock my sleep off again. Personally I think the kids will sleep wherever you put them, they will be exhausted so that's a non-issue.

I also think it's an absolute pain to have to pack up all my crap (which is usually all over the place a few days into my vacation). And you do lose time in the transferring of hotels even though they will tranfer your luggage for you.

All around I consider it to be too much of a hastle and figure if there is some other resort I'd like to try~I'll just have to book myself another trip and stay there next time.;)

Thanks for the many good advises...

Our kinds are 6 and 4 - so therefore I think we will stick with the original plan...

5 days at Polynesian concierge level...lagoon view.....

We have never stayed at a Disney resort in WDW - but several times in Disneyland Paris..

The evening show aloha dinner show at Polynesian...

Is that a show we would love or not..?
Our kids don´t understand english...

If your children dont understand English, then I think you made the right choice, especially if your biggest motivation for moving to the AKL was the Sunrise Safari.

Have a great holiday!
