I was just reading on the other board about people being upgraded to consierge at disney resorts upon check in. I have never had this, but as a DVC member I guess I never will. There is no such thing as consierge at the villas right?

Someone once posted that they were able to utilize Concierge services while staying at BCV. The cost was something like $50 or 75 per person, per night. Yikes!

I've never stayed at YC/BC in the past, but I also assumed the Concierge area was probably quite a hike from the villas.

I read a post the other day about someone who had requested a non-smoking room at BWV (kids have asthma), and there were non available, so the guest inquired about BCV...they were full, too. The guest was told OKW had rooms avail, but the guest did not want to go there (didn't have a car, wanted location of BWV). So, the CM went off and checked, came back and asked if, "A concierge room at the BWI would be okay with them?". The OP said they didn't know what concierge was...they were quite thrilled with what they received!!

I know this is far from normal!!!...but, maybe...someday, I could win the DVC lottery, too!!! (Kind of like the people who were "upgraded" to a GV at chek'in)!! I'd just like to live on that street once!!

I guess getting a concierge room at the Inn would seem like an upgrade if you had a Studio, but if you have a 1 bedroom or larger reserved, being sent to an Inn room would not seem like an upgrade to me. It is a "room" isn't it (as in a single hotel room), or am I missing something?

mikesmom that would be correct - they are inn rooms

thanks

I'm sure you are right!! I really don't remember if they had a studio, but it probably was. Either way, they were quite thrilled!!

Unless they were moved to one of the suites at the Inn. Those are drop dead gorgeous, much nicer and much, much more luxurious than any DVC villa, anywhere.
