Posted the question on the DVC Resorts board and so far there is 1 no at AKV and 1 yes at SSR. Will update when there are more answers.

Asking for when would be good. It used to be common, but that was back with the old hideabeds. I suspect Disney hasn't replaced them, so if a resort still has a few, you might get lucky. But when they need to be tossed they are gone.

Good point. I have personally slept on a sofa bed at AKV (which I would assume is newer) and one at OKW (again, assuming older). Both times I was glad it was only for 1 night each.

The AKV was less uncomfortable but I would call that the lesser of 2 evils.
