Considering not doing TS in EP and Mexico Pavillion question

I am familiar with San Angel but I know its changed since our last trip.
I read mixed reviews on La Hacienda and now I see there is a Tequilla Bar that serves snacks, appetizers?
Where in Mexico is the tequilla Bar, actually in the pavilion and is it a "Bar" that I couldnt stop in for drink and snacks with children?
I am hesitant to reserve at either place(SA or LH) with reviews but thought we could stop in their for a drink/bite and enjoy the atmospher of mexico if its in Pavilion.
We thought we might like to just enjoy a few bites from QS places all around the world rather then a TS meal when we visit EP. Does anyone else enjoy that so they can experience foods from all over or do you prefer to choose a destination?

The tequila cave is a bar inside the pavilion to your right. There are maybe 5 tables in there but mostly it's a long bar where you stand and drink tequila. There are about 4 items on the snack menu but they have a huge tequila menu.

Most people who have come in with kids get up and leave. Menu is very limited; it's really only to have a little something to eat with your booze. The seating is limited and tables are very difficult to come by.

Give San Angel Inn a second thought - the food has gotten a LOT better lately. Our meal this past summer was excellent.
