DH and I are considering DVC at 200 point level. I can't seem to get him to find out how much the annual maintenance fee would be, so I told him I'd ask here. I hope this isn't a sensitive issue!

It depends on which resort is your home resort.
Here is a list of dues from 1991 to the present sorted by resort.
Year OKW BWV VB VB(sub) HH VWL BCV SSR
2005 3.86 4.41 4.87 3.84 4.04 4.35 4.27 3.83
2004 3.68 4.25 4.67 3.67 3.86 4.22 4.18 3.80
2003 3.49 4.11 4.36 3.45 3.70 4.05 3.97
2002 3.22 3.92 4.17 3.33 3.48 3.80 3.77
2001 3.13 3.82 3.97 2.70 3.32 3.63
2000 3.16 3.94 4.08 2.87 3.25 3.62
1999 3.16 4.02 3.99 2.82 3.18
1998 3.17 3.94 2.76 3.20
1997 3.14 3.84 2.90 3.16
1996 2.99 3.70 2.82 3.16
1995 2.84
1994 2.70
1993 2.63
1992 2.56
1991 2.51

Those are this per point.

SSR Maintenance Fee = $3.83 per point. For 200 Pts your annual maint. fee would be $766.00. If you're interested in a different resort let us know what it is and someone will find the maint. fees for that resort.

Hope this helps,
Y-ASK

Always a day late and a dollar short :).

I don't know how it is in your house, but stuff like that doesn't become a "sensitive issue" around here until the 4th-5th time DW asks me to get something and then has to do it herself.

So much patience...but so little time between "sensitive" and "ugly!" :confused3

LOL, we are posting at the same times!
That's awkward...but isn't it comforting when you both come up with the same number? ::yes::

DVC maintenance generally goes up about 2-4% a year, but can increase as much as 15% per the contract.

Annual dues for 2005
at each resort are as follows:

Saratoga Springs $3.82
Old Key West $3.86
Hilton Head Island $4.03
Beach Club Villas $4.26
Wilderness Lodge $4.35

Boardwalk Villas $4.41
Vero Beach $4.86

I tried to send you a pm..but you're not listed. Please pm me (send your e-mail address) ..if I can help with anything else?? :confused3

Carol

For those curious, this indicates an average increase of 3.69% per year. ;)

so are there a lot of CPA's that post on this site, or is this just my imagination? :cool1:

Thanks so much for the info! It was this unknown figure that we'd been talking about for a while. Wow - seems pretty expensive to me. I think he was afraid to find out how much it was! I'm still not "sold" on the idea yet. I'm going to start another thread to ask what made members decide to "buy in."

If you are prone to staying in Deluxe resorts at least every other year, you will see the economy of a timeshare on Disney property, but if you are used to value resorts, it's not going to seem like a good deal. We stayed on site at deluxes and saw the value in it right away. As timeshares go, DVC is a horse of a different color.
