Considering cancelling our 7DMT FP+ after reviews.

I have been reading about how 7DMT is not made for pooh sized or tall people. It seems to be the only ride anywhere at the World that gets these reviews. Since Im a fluff and DBF is super tall, I'm really leaning towards just cancelling our FP+ and using it on another ride.

What has been your experience on fitting on the ride if you are fluffy or tall?

I am 5'1" and have to get the seatbelt extension on the plane. I had no problem with 7DMT

I find it unpleasant but rideable since I have huge thighs and the lap bar leaves bruises on the sides of my legs. My rear end fits in the seat fine though, and I've seen some basketball-player-tall folks riding it.

This is all helpful to know. I am cursed with very wide hips and big legs so the lap bar concerns me. DBF is 6ft 7 and I had read that the ride crushed the knees of tall people. I would be mortified if I had to get out in front of everyone because I couldn't fit.

I'm 6'2" and it was a lot more roomy than I was expecting from the reviews, not bad

Don't the rides have a test car before you get in? I remember this used to be the case for other rides.

Either way, I would keep the fp. Just in case for when you decide on the spot (or after checking the test car, if there is one) you want to ride it and then have to wait for a long time, because you cancelled the fp.

If you are going between now and 60 days it'll be relatively quiet in wdw and MK has so many fp options. Keep them for now and decide at the last moment to keep or change them.

You really won't know till you try it. I'm very wide in the lower half and had no problem. I've seen posts by ladies who said they were over 300 lbs who fit. As for being tall, it really depends how long his legs are. If he is proportionally longer in the torso he'll probably be fine.

If you decide to ride, don't pull the lap bar down all the way when you get on. Pull it down until it locks and then lower it down more if needed.

If you pull it all the way down to begin with, it will not come back up and you will be even more uncomfortable the entire ride. I think some people get excited it fits and jam it down only to be squished the entire ride.

My husband is 6' 9" and was fine riding several times. I say try it at least once and if you don't like it at least you'll know!

I agree with what the previous poster said about not pulling that leg bar down any further than you have to, just that first click. I too get the seat belt extender on planes and am fine on 7dmt. I even sat with a stranger once and we didn't touch. They have the seats kind of molded so you stay in your spot. Give it a try and I think you will be fine.

I think many are comparing it to BTMR where you slide around the car... SDMT is more of a fitted seat.

I was afraid after reading reviews but I ended up riding twice. I am soo glad I didn't shy away from it!

I think bigger people have more trouble with Space Mountain than with 7DMT. I am not overly tall (5'7") and have trouble with my legs being too long for Space. I had no trouble on 7DMT and neither did my "pooh sized" dad. Give it a try. I think you will be good.

Absolutely keep them and ride it! It isn't that you won't fit, and it isn't that you are Pooh-sized. I swear no one bigger than a 10-year-old will be comfortable in it. That being said, you will fit fine, and the ride is a fun one. (Although very short)

I've rode it 4+ times so far. And I am 5'6" and pooh sized (I wear an 18-20 size pants). The seats are bucket seats and my butt was snug in them but myself and my hubby rode together and we fit just fine. He is also 5'6". I have also seen videos with some pretty tall and pooh sized guys riding it without issue. I wouldn't cancel it, it is lots of fun.

My son and nephew are 6' 6" and they've both rode several times. You should both fit fine.

I think you may regret it if you cancel. I'm 5'8" and fluffy - had no problem fitting. Sometimes I think reviews make things seem way worse than something really is. :goodvibes

I'm 5'7" and a size 14, but carry the weight mostly in my thighs/hips. The lap bar was tight on my thighs. I think it depends mostly on your shape and where the weight is carried. I could see it being tight for someone with long legs too. I do think it's worth trying, however.
