Considering a resale...many ????

We are considering an add on of about 150-200 points via the resale market. It seems to be a buyers market at the moment. I have a few questions. I love OKW and BWV both. We usually stay at OKW because we try to stretch out our points. I might consider a resale at BWV just to get the standard view rooms since I know they are impossible to get without the 11 month window. First question...Is it still difficult at the 8-11 month timeframe. Do you have to call day by day. We never travel at peak times. Usually Sept, Oct, May or early Dec. Also, with some banked points what can I expect to pay. I see the asking price but with the economy and the buyers market what would be a good deal? I believe that Disney will buy back at anything below $58 a point. Is this still true? Thanks for your input in advance.

Early December is popular at BWV and so is late Oct/early Nov for the wine festival. Sept or May may be easier to get. I booked Dec 1 to 7 last January and was lucky to get one of the last standard views when I called on the 11 month mark of the checkout day. When I call next month for next Dec, I think I will call earlier, maybe after the third night and then for the rest.

It has been reported earlier this year that BWV resales were going in the $66-68/pt range. Now it apears they are listed for that amount and probably sell around $62- $65/point. It depends how motivated the seller is. You should check out the above link to The Timeshare Store and atimeshare.com. The only way you'll find out is to contact the agents, and make an offer on a desirable contract. I think $58/pt might be a little low for BW, but who knows? Considering Disney sell for $75/pt, I think anything from $60 - $65 is probably a good deal if it has banked points. Count on $450 for closing costs. If there are no banked points, and some are borrowed, I would prorate the dues accordingly.
