The Star Trek Experience closed a few months ago. I saw it on the news. It's a shame because I finally get to go to Vegas myself and won't get to see it.

What?! We didn't get to the ST Experience when we stopped in Vegas overnight (we ate at Burger King and went to the Days Inn for some sleep). I'm bummed now.

I used to make a face just like this when I was little. My parents would call it, "goofus magee"

I was never into Star Trek ... except for The Next Generation
(and that's because I thought Will Wheton was kind of cute... )

Disclaimer: I'm well aware that any trekkie hated his character.

Yup, I'm a trekkie or trekker or whatever you call it. We're not like those nuts you see on the trekkies DVD, though. I've never been to a convention but DH has. I also don't have a costume (notice I said costume and not uniform). I'd like to go someday.

And I hated Wil Wheaton's character, too. DH didn't because he and Wheaton were friends growing up. His parents used to go to his uncle's barber shop.
I have/had a thing for Data (the character, not the actor who played him) and Capt. Picard/Patrick Stewart. *blushes very hard*

if you just make that a little north and east, it'd be perfect!

so i'm on this atheist thread defending atheism as a non-religion and defending the right to the u.s. to incorporate "under god" in the pledge.

funny how they presumed i was a spiritual sort, merely because i am also a conservative. tells me how they like to package people. i'm actually al la carte, not lunch combo number 3.

i live in the central valley now (where homes ARE afforadable!), but this commute...i'm tellin' ya...so i have been looking (again) at homes in the bay area (where homes are NOT affordable), because that's where the work is.

funny, funny people they are. it was all so civil until i was accused of saying that all other religions besides christianity should "go to h*&$" along with homosexuals, etc... i never said anything like that. merely that people who find pain in a word have issues to resolve.


(oh, and i got 10 points for not saying it! ah well...a day without points is like a day without a bunch of other crap.)

My fav was Cool Britannia. Vanilla ice cream, strawberries, chocolate covered pound cake chunks. Mmmmmm. Lucky for me it was discontinued years ago.

My favorite ice cream is currently pralines and cream. I don't care from who.

It is so easy to be presumptive; I don't think some people ever have enough imagination and/or creativity and/or humility to envision someone who is different may actually be more multi-faceted than they. Just because you have certain beliefs, does not mean you can be neatly packaged into a one-size-fits-all pigeon-hole, despite the desire of some for that to be true.

I do the same things.
It can get hard, though, because let's look, for example, at POTC 1, 2, and 3. Like the movies but Johnny Depp is an anti-American jerk who doesn't like the US so much that he moved to France. So it's hard for me to watch his movies. Which is too bad because he's usually in good movies.
