Thanks! Yup, it's the best present I could have gotten for Christmas this year.
I'm doing OK, thanks for asking. I'm fighting with a cold, which is good because I'd rather have it now than in a month and a half!!!!!! Otherwise, it's kind of business as usual, you know, headaches, etc. But, I guess I'm used to them now, so I try not to let them bother me too much.
That's great that she's doing well.
I love, love, love my surgeon. He's adorable and LOVES hockey, so we've got something in common. I knew there was a reason I picked a guy who went to McGill. It wasn't just for his skillz... ha ha ha
Excellent! It's so important to like your doctor. And you have a great attitude! Hope you feel better from your cold soon - it appears to be going around.
Hope your DD gets better soon. Congrats on the fine baking - I don't even know what linzer tarts are [I've heard of them but they sounded fancy so I don't think I've ever looked up how to bake them]. But boo on your KA - you're right - it shouldn't be acting up like that - those things are made to last much longer than you will!
According to my time, it's been an hour - where IS that update???
Thanks!
Linzer Tart:
Kind of like a buttery shortbread cookie, with a gooey raspberry or apricot filling, sprinkled with powder sugar.
I returned that mixer - and the new one works amazing!

I also lurked here earlier and saw your recipe and quickly got off and made that pizza dough. OMG- that recipe is:
TREMENDOUS!!!!
Thank you!!!!

It is a great recipe! I need to find the cinnamon bread recipe next. I'm nutty now with baking. I had to stop at the store and buy more flour.
I also bought a pizza pan today, it's so great, it crisped up the pizza perfectly. And, next time we'll have to roll it out thinner. DH insisted in rolling out the dough.

Then he wanted to 'spin it'

like a pizza guy would. I was worried he was going to drop it. Nothing like pizza with an extra topping of dog hair.
I'm going to try and make a margarita pie tomorrow. They are my fav.
DH is going to gain 15 lbs while on vacation sampling all my baking.
Now he's getting sick now, too.

Mahna- I meant to say that I love the new years pug in your siggy. So cute!
Hey thanks! My niece Blinged out my DD on her MySpace page, so I felt the need to Bling out a pug.
I agree there is no value in namecalling. We all have friends and family members with varying philosophies and I am sure that fights are not breaking out every time a political disagreement arises. However, I take issue with your assertion (as it relates to the DIS Boards) that it is simply a difference in philosophy. Please understand that I do not take sides in the Democrat/Republican debate and do not wish to start a battle of philosophies. Libertarians like me (limited federal government, reduced taxes and spending, more individual rights - pro choice and supporter of gay rights, anti Iraq War) seem to have no party to go to.
With that said, I find the Liberal Thread to be one where there is no room for alternative viewpoints. What would happen if I dared to question your assertion that President Reagan made your life miserable because you had to work in college? What would happen if I questioned the wisdom of those who believe that Israel and President Bush are working together to make PE Obama's presidency more difficult by the recent attacks (I really could not believe that someone would actually post that)? It certainly seems that some of the more thoughtful posters have left the Liberal Thread and it has been reduced to a handful of "you are either with me or against me" cheerleaders. Perhaps I am wrong, but it appears that a few work behind the scenes to coordinate attacks.
Is the Lib Thread a "sludgepond?" I will not go that far, but you have to admit that the pool of posters is exceedingly small and the number of views very high. It tells me that very few care to participate, but many like to view the train wreck.
Great post! I agree that there are some working behind the scenes. And for what reason? We all don't have to agree on everything. But going after posters (some may even be stalking, collecting information, etc., who knows) because you disagree with them politically is not cool (and weirds me out a little). I used to read the Hillary thread and that one got really hairy! A shame because some posters had good points of view and I like to read them all.
I like the camaraderie here.

And the recipes.
TheresaNJ your family is just beautiful!
Soarin' - what's going on, are you cracka' lackin' on that report or what?

Or is it in your sig and I can't see it?
Tink - nice to see you back - how was Robbie's first Christmas!!!?????
