One reason (among many) that I love WDW vacations is that I totally disconnect while in the parks. ahem... like I'm going to be doing in less than two weeks.

i agree. the only reason i had my cell phone on in the parks was to track down the boyfriend when he wandered off...

couldn't believe the non-stop rain. we get lots of wind around here too, but didn't have it this last storm...and my yard didn't flood. nor did the water freeze when it was 28* last week! the wind is what ereally bugs me 'cause i have to check my baby trees and toss the neighbors' belongings back over the fence for them.

I know...the wind was terrible last storm before this one. Brought all my plants in the garage and forgot all about them till you mentioned plants they must be sun deprived ...My one palm tree is bent from the wind and the water saturation. It was nice for a change however....I love the rain when we get it. It is suppose to also rain again tomorrow. My pool is like one inch from over flowing and cant fing my pump.

OHHHHHH that would be dangerous for me. Must be nice on a long drive.

I'm glad you asked, because I don't have to do a doggone thing tomorrow. Our tradition is that we bake cookies on Christmas Eve, so we'll do that tomorrow morning. Me and DS9 bake snickerdoodles while DW and DD11 make peanut butter cookies w/ a Hershey's Kiss. Then we'll pop in and spread a little Christmas cheer to some friends. Church tomorow night... Lord knows I dearly love singing Silent Night by candlelight. After church we'll watch "A Christmas Story", then the kiddos head off to bed.

ooohhh, could your DW and DD bake a couple of peanut butter kisses for me, too? I've had a craving for those, along with the cinnamon bread [that mkingdomlovr gave me the recipe for] and pecan crescents [shortbread pecan yummies dusted with powdered sugar] but after all those pretzel things and saltine things and chocolate mint things I made, I pooped out....

yeah...the weather report is full of road warnings, chain requirements, and for me more rain. i love the sound of it, but i'm not fond of being on the road with the rain and a bunch of lunatics.

I make cinnamon buns every Christmas.....the frozen ones they are soooooo good and the kids love them with there big Christmas breakfast

yeah...the weather report is full of road warnings, chain requirements, and for me more rain. i love the sound of it, but i'm not fond of being on the road with the rain and a bunch of lunatics.

No one can drive out here in the rain...not use to it. Also since we never get rain to wash all the oils off the roads, when it does rain all the oils rise to the top of the blacktop and make it slippery. So add Christmas must shop hysteria on top of it and there ya go ....

DH was out tonight and he said it was terrible. Went to the Mall last night and it was soooooooo packed.....figured that with all the problems with moneys it would be less busy this year but every time I go it is packed.

I'm officially in FL! 150 miles to go till Tallahassee.

Tomorrow's schedule is as follows: AK in the morning, GF to see the decorations in the afternoon, and DHS that night for the Osborne lights and ToT (we want to do ToT in the nighttime total darkness).

ToT is so cool at night! Other rides that are cool at night are BTMRR & Splash Mtn. & EE. We've been through AK at night, and I think it has the best after dark ambience of all the parks.

Real? No arguments here. Hey, I'll admit that I leaned over a rail at the mall tonight and hollered at the Big Man that I prefer plasma over LCD.

The mental picture is cracking me up!

It is pretty much impossible to sleep in a moving vehicle. We stopped at a Books-A-Million and I bought a booklight so I've been reading Glenn's book The Real America, but that might explain why I can't sleep. We're in Tallahassee.

my office is sooooo quiet....most of the time its always loud by my desk because mine is right next to the breakroom, but there's hardly anyone here today. Guess I'm gonna log some paid time while reading my book.

Every holiday the company closes the offices at 3pm but pays everyone till 5pm. I'm making a run to walmart/target on my way home so I don't have to lug a child with me

DH keeps asking me what I want for Christmas, but I already bought myself what I wanted (and informed him of what he got me shortly after I paid) but he's not liking that answer. Between having Jacob home, healthy, having time to spend on my hobbies and interests, etc. (which what he got me contributes to ) I really don't have anything else I want, other than a clean house, but that would only last a matter of minutes so why bother? I got DH a HUGE bag of his favorite candy, a PS3 game, and Band Of Brothers on Blu-Ray, so he's fairly set. We don't do huge Christmases at our house. I got Electric Quilt 6 software, fabric, and a few odds and ends decorative things for the house. The presents really have never been what Christmas was about for us, so we focus more on other things. We'll track Santa on Google Earth all day, probably watch A Christmas Story (again), The Nativity, which I still haven't seen from start to finish...and listen to GB read the Christmas Story. I have a feeling tomorrow will be spent using some of the art project kits I got the kids for Christmas. I'll probably do alot of cleaning up since it has been kinda slacked off the last week or so.

Looks like DH and I might head out to the deer lease Friday afternoon for the weekend. I don't particularly want to go, I have tons of sewing I'd rather get done but oh well...

I'm sort of in a ho-hum mood today. Don't really want to be at work, I just want to blink and have everything I need to do...done.

I know what you mean JB about not wanting to lug a kid around with you. I'm waiting for DH to get home so I can run to the store for some last minute items before Inlaws decend upon us. One of my last minute items I need is hair coloring. My roots are pretty bad , and I don't need DD's first Christmas pics showing mommy with roots. It's just so nasty outside, I don't want to take her out in this.

I came online to check the status of an order I placed for a gift for DH. It's on the truck coming here now. Something happened with the delivery. I hope it doesn't come when DH is home.


For Christmas breakfast we have Panettone, traditional Italian sweet bread. MIL makes an icing to drizzle over the top.

In all honesty it gives me heartburn, but I eat it anyway.
