I'm with ya. I didn't expect it. I just responded to someone's post on Breezy's thread and was very surprised to see the tag. Mind you, I was hoping to get one but then I had to post and run, so I thought it wouldn't happen.



I was eyeing rentayenta's tag about kissing chinchillas on the lips. For some reason whenever I would see that tag, it would crack me up.

BTW - Thank you Breezy for starting that thread!!! You feed us and get us tags. Do you have any plans to run for office someday? Well, you'd get my vote.

Could it be something with Israel? I could see there being some civil unrest if Israel gets nuked and the USA doesn't come to their defense.

Any thoughts? I still can't shake the feeling that something's going to happen to Israel.

Maybe I've got my tin foil hat on too tightly, but I get the distinct feeling that "something" is up re homeland security. I've noticed more talk about troop deployment in the US lately, going as far back as September.

I know that the government doesn't always tell us the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I wonder what kind of civil unrest, terrorist activity, or whatever else might be on the gov't radar. Hopefully it's nothing at all to be concerned about.

I'm also wondering if we should be worried about Russia. They've been awfully chummy with Venezuela, lately, and we all know how close that is to the U.S.

Oops, there goes tone on internets again. I'm not sensitive about the responses, when I say I am thankful for the responses, and that appreciate other people's views, I mean it. On the contrary, I thought I was making you sensitive. I was afraid people thought I was mocking them for their beliefs, and I wasn't.

I admit I was a little sensitive that you thought I lacked the ability to see issues from a perspective other than my own. So, I wanted to clear that up. I am capable of seeing issues from others perspectives. I really appreciated your posts, because they made me look at how I was communicating.

hi finney...me again. my point is that gifts for holidays/birthdays should be happy happy joy joy stuff. somebody needing money for medical purposes...well, if they need the money i'll loan it to them or give it to them, but it isn't a present, it is a gesture intended to assist.

I just got a sale paper for Pier One and it has a peppermint bark tin as well. Maybe you have one of those closer to you?

Pier One is in the mall complex, isn't it Tink? If you look it up and it has a Steele St. address, that will be the Steele St. that goes into the Tacoma mall, not the one off 512. I think peppermint bark is absolutely nasty btw...but good luck on the hunt.

Just finished reading it. Looks like a bait from the start. Since I don't know any Christians who have a problem with symbols from other religions or cultures, I just don't understand why my Symbols of Christmas must be thrown out. It wouldn't be CHRISTmas w/o them!

My frend Todd is thinking along the same lines. He is really worried that something HUGE is going to happen that has just begun with India. He's pretty savvy when it comes to world politics...he spent his childhood travelling all around the world since his father was a diplomat, and always pays very close attention to world events. I'm ashamed to say that sometimes I studiously do NOT pay attention, because I get too freaked out. I did say sometimes...just admitting my weakness here.

I've never tried it. Not a big fan of peppermint but it looks pretty. And if it is gross I can always splash it with exlax and give it to my OS neighbors. hehehe

Nativity thread. Hmmm... looks like the biggest beef at the beginning was a church and state issue. Did it go elsewhere? Not that I would be shocked if it had. IDK what about city "tree lighting" ceremonies. Are those verbotten as well? If so I guess I gotta go picket Town Hall.
