i also love the old-ish style of muzak-ish stylin' of the land loop. seriously, i listen to this all day, every day at work (exception for meetings, but only sometimes, 'cause i can have the phone on one ear and the head set on the other:rotfl: ), and i am still hearing stuff i haven't heard before.
LOVIN' it.

I know! I'm amazed at the sheer volume of WDW music material I'm discovering everyday! That's the only music genre I listen to and completely love every minute of (can't say that for anything else). Or would the WDW music be a genre??;) I'd say it is...

Somebody has their first tag!:rolleyes1 Now, if I can just find out what a Dorfus Chickendoodle is.:rotfl: It's something I didn't post!!

That's mine that I keyed in myself. It's from The Haunted Mansion.

Ohhh ok, lol. The TF doesn't like me, either. Of course, I never say anything that's tagworthy.

TLSnell- Lucky! I wonder what a Dorfus Chickendoodle is, too.

I thnk that means that whatever he's promised he can chalk it up to campaigning, and not actually anything he might do. You know, bait and switch!

I know, silly silly of us to remember what was said on the campaign trail then actually believe it -- tsk, tsk...

there are others, Time's Joe Klein for instance - who think that reporter was way out of line...

I was struck by the inanity of most of the questions from my colleagues. Granted, these are political reporters, not national security or foreign policy specialists, but what sort of journalist expects the President-elect to tell the "inside story" of how he selected Hillary Clinton? (Those sorts of stories, if told at all, are wrenched from aides on background--and reported only after consulting multiple sources.)

uh, Mr Klein - the sort of journalist who actually thinks that a POTUS-elect should be held accountable?!?!?

Then, this guy from the Boston Globe answered back --

To listen to Obama today, however, all of that was just campaign rhetoric, and it doesn't really matter anymore...That statement raises several important questions: What else that Obama said during the campaign will he now belittle as mere byproducts of campaign heat? Does Obama not think it's important for the press to elucidate serious differences between leading political figures? Does Obama, who prides himself on consistency, believe he will be able to swat away challenges to that notion so easily, and what will that mean for his relationship with the media?

maybe there's hope for this shambles of a media after all...

WASHINGTON — The United States can expect a terrorist attack using nuclear or more likely biological weapons before 2013, reports a bipartisan commission in a study being briefed Tuesday to Vice President-elect Joe Biden.

It suggests the Obama administration bolster efforts to counter and prepare for germ warfare by terrorists.

“Our margin of safety is shrinking, not growing,” states the report, obtained by The Associated Press. It is scheduled to be publicly released Wednesday.

While most of the country focused on the president-elect and his latest Cabinet picks, the current president quietly picked up an award. Earlier today, before a few hundred people at the Saddleback Civil Forum on Global Health at Washington’s Newseum, Pastor Rick Warren named George W. Bush the first-ever recipient of the International Medal of PEACE. The honor, presented on World AIDS Day, was in recognition of The President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, which over the past five years has treated more than 2.1 million people living with the virus around the world.

“It’s the most underrated and misunderstood program of this administration,” said Warren, who referred to PEPFAR as a “BHAG” (big, hairy, audacious goal).

“You are a hero, sir,” said U2’s Bono in a videotaped message to the president.

President Bush deflected any credit, saying, “I don’t deserve an award. The people who made this policy work deserve an award.”

disclaimer -- I'm not exactly sure that I agreed with the President on this one -- not because I lack compassion but because I'm always suspect in how the government spends our money, even in charitable causes....it's just interesting that the maniacal villain who told the terrorists to bomb our country is the same one who lent this kind of support to a continent [yes, Sarah Palin and I both know Africa is a continent] so far away from ours.

My Mom sent me this email, and now I know what I want for Christmas.:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

A Jewish man walked into the Lingerie Department of Macy's in New York.

He tells the saleslady, "I would like a Jewish bra for my wife size, 34B. "
With a quizzical look the saleslady asked, "What kind of bra? "

He repeated, "A Jewish bra. She said to tell you that she wanted a Jewish bra, and that you would know what she wanted. "

"Ah, now I remember, " said the saleslady. "We don't get as many requests for those as we used to. Most of our customers lately want the Catholic bra, or the Salvation Army bra, or the Presbyterian bra. "

Confused, and a little flustered, the man asked "So, what are the differences? "

The sales lady responded. "It is all really quite simple. The Catholic bra supports the masses. The Salvation Army lifts up the fallen, and the Presbyterian bra keeps them staunch and upright. "

He mused on that information for a minute and said, "Hmm. I know I'll regret asking, but what does the Jewish bra do? "

"Ah, the Jewish bra, " she replied "makes mountains out of molehills. "

That's great! :rotfl2:

That isn't my elf name. My elf name is veeeerrry naughty!! Frosty Horny-Noodles

The second one is Sparky Sparkly-Toes.

It sounds like the names given on an e-mail I received one time where the letters in certain positions in your name signify a word. I will have to try to hunt it down.
