oh my gosh Michelle so much hair on your grandson!!! Jacob is practically bald in comparison, but ironically had more hair born 10 weeks early than either of my previous two which were full term and 4 weeks early.

What cute boys you have...:) For all the crap that goes with them, there really is nothing like a little boy's hug though, ya know??

Tink-- :grouphug: :sad1: You had it way worse than I ever did.

I'm off for most of the day. I have a quilt beckoning me to work on, as well as I'd like to make some progress on making Jacob a decent diaper bag. I didn't get to finish it before he arrived and it is only paritally "designed" and cut out.

Lookie. My grandson.

They are both great pictures. My DD was almost toally bald when she was born, and it took forever for it to grow out.

Adorable!!!

JB1111o7 and Tink and Goofy,. I'm sorry you had a rough time. You are both great people!!!

Since I'm a Debbie66 I fall into the old category now. I'm not sure when that happened, but I realized this summer I fell from parents group to the old group!

I'm taking notes on the med information. Some of your stories explain a lot of my problems!

I'm technically a Michelle66 so I do too!

As for the med issues, I didn't realize I had symptoms for quite a while and didn't know it. I went to the Dr. over digestive issues and they were testing for Crohn's and colon cancer, which fortunately turned out to be negative. Until he talked to me about the thyroid I had no idea that dry skin, constantly being cold and losing hair were major symptoms. My hair is so thick I only notifced it, but diodn't get stressed about it. I still cannot regulate my body temp so if it is cooler than 75, I'm COLD! I realize now that if my meds are low, I want to cry constantly at every real or imagined hurt. if the meds are high, I'm ready to scream at someone for the same thing that made me cry before. LOL:rotfl2: It's fun for DH to figure out sometimes when I find dirty clothes on the floor.... Apparently, the low meds cause me to ache badly with muscle spasms and joint pains. I have fibro so I never know which one is causing these.

Lookie. My grandson.
Awwwwww

Well , I thought of sharing my Christmas plans.... As after a long time I am on holidays (Christmas holidays). I and my family have planned to celebrate Christmas in Chicago this time. It will be very cold there, but we were all eager to see the place.

Chicago houses most of the best restaurants in the world. We have booked one of the best restaurants there.

so hope our Christmas will be exciting..
Hope your Christmas is wonderful. :goodvibes

I'm definately going to have them check my thyroid when I go see the doc in Jan/Feb.

My children had little hair until they were 2 1/2. They did make up for it because they have very thick hair today.

My son surprised me and was born with hair, dark like mine. DH shaved it (on accident) and it came back in blonde like DH. Oh, well.
My son has never been bald.
But my daughter probably will be. I was. :rotfl:

There is something about the sweetness of the chocolate, and the saltiness of the pretzel that is SO good!:goodvibes

Then you must try Starbuck's Salted Caramel Signature Hot Chocolate. It tastes like a chocolate-caramel pretzel in a cup!

I know there are some here who are not fond of Starbuck's (I am one of them). If you have not tried Boca Java, I highly recommend them. Besides being some of the freshest coffee (roasted the day you order), they also donate lots of coffee to the troops. And, they advertise on Rush, so if you are a mind-numbed robot then you have no choice!

I see our old friend Kyle has revealed himself with his usual posting style.

Hey Kyle!

Hey ya'll! Just wanted to do a drive by and say hi!!! **waving** I'm trying to finish packing....made a list and checking it multiple times. Gee, I didn't realize I'd miss my kids so much. I'm having to make schedules for them to come by and take care of the menagerie. It was sooooo much easier when they were still at home.

Anyways, be safe and hope all is well for all!!!:)

Have a wonderful trip!:wizard:

Hi guys. I'm kinda braindead today...stayed up all night cleaning my house for our Christmas party this evening. Mostly I was dealing with clutter on my kitchen counters. Can I just tell you that if you have 15-20 feet of counter space all it means is that you will regularly have 10-15 feet of clutter? I was tempted to just chuck it all in a box and deal with it later, but I didn't. I went through every single piece of paper, mail, toys, electronic doo dads and what have you that was shoved over there, and it is all where it belongs (which for a lot of it was either the recycling bin or the garbage can  ).

Thanks for all the compliments on my gorgeous grandson. Of course I think he is the cutest baby in the whole world but I realize that I am biased. He was born with that long hair. Crazy, huh? He was a week late, though, so I guess he had time go grow his hair out before he made his appearance. ;)

My children had little hair until they were 2 1/2. They did make up for it because they have very thick hair today.

My younger niece was a baldy baby until she was 2 also. My sister kept bonnets on her all the time because otherwise people said what a cute little boy she was (even if she was wearing pink  ). I think it took my daughter (the baby's mama) until she was two to have that much hair, but like your kids she made up for it and she now has a horse's mane. VERY thick and dense.

Then you must try Starbuck's Salted Caramel Signature Hot Chocolate. It tastes like a chocolate-caramel pretzel in a cup!

Gag on the first, applause on the second. I don't know if we have Boca Java here but even if I liked Starbucks coffee I wouldn't like them as a company because of their stance on sending coffee to the troops. I'm glad Boca Java picked up the ball Starbucks dropped. That charred swill isn't good enough for our troops anyhow.

Ha! Did you see what I said about the starbucks crap earlier? Along the same thing except I said it tasted like salty chocolate water. :rotfl:
It certainly sounded familiar...I wonder if there's a way to find out if they have them here? star-yucks certainly has a corner on the coffee market...or should I say burned-dirt-in-a-cup market?
(Careful, though, TLSnell loves staryucks. ;) )

I just saw on FOX News that Sarah Palin's home church has suffered over a million dollars in damage from a suspicious fire.:sad2:

Yeah, I know, but I love her anyhow. :lmao:

Forza seems to be catching up with Starbucks lately. Probably not really in terms of numbers of stores, but they are spreading themselves around. Don't think we have one over here yet, but there are a bunch of them over there in T town and Lakewood.

Hey, how was your weather yesterday? Did ya get blown away? It blew insanely here. I didn't lose power, but my neighbors a half mile away to the north or so lost power. I had the gen filled up with gas and ready to go just in case. I did have to end up searching hither and yon to find all my garbage cans when I let the dog out for the last time in the wee hours this morning. Had to dig one out of the woods in front of the house. Took me a good while to find all the lids, too. Didn't lose any trees or anything though, so I won't complain about playing hide and seek with my garbage cans and lids.

My next door neighbors have their winter home in Bradenton. Small world indeed!

Lookie. My grandson.

He's GORGEOUS!!! All three of my kids had hair like that.

Thanks you guys. :) Okay one more just because I can't help it. My son AND my grandson, at my mother's house on Thanksgiving.

He sure is a doll, and I honestly think that clutter on countertops multiplies on its own.

Oh, you've got me inspired now. I'm going to go get a movie for the kids and then head to the machine to work on our quilt.

WOW! That is gorgeous! Would you like my address to ship it to? :flower3: Just kidding of course, but that is really awesome!
No, she's going to send it to "this" Michelle (that's me). I'm Michelle70. :D

So JB - how long did it take for you to make all of those squares? I can't wait to start making quilts like that.
