well i was cleaning my fireplace with my handy, dandy shop vac, and didn't realize that the filter had fallen off, so i sprayed my entire family room, kitchen, and hallway with ashes...so if you don't hear from me, i'm washing, vacuuming, dusting and generally building an entirely new house.

i did drool on my computer screen last night as i read your report. good report by the way, thanks for writing it.

Wonder - my husband did that when we first moved in. I was pregnant and couldn't help him. It was a mess and we didn't have any furniture in the house. I can't imagine what it's like with a furnished home. Yikes!

i see that old hugo has managed to eliminate term limits. i guess the price o' gas will quadruple soon.

I skipped a bunch - can't catch up today. Too busy. Just in case you wonder, I may not be here for a while. I've got some computer issues and three sick kids, so I can't be here to play.

What's going on with the guy who took Obama's seat in the Senate? I've been hearing some rumblings, but I haven't had the time to pay attention.

Ah yes, the minor Federal Holidays. Those holidays that separate the beneficiaries of Federal largess from those of us who simply have to pay for them.......... (hope they slept in and had waffles n stuff).


OTOH, sure lookin' forward to that extra 13 bucks a week. It almost buys a whole 12 pack of beer......

I've stopped paying attention to politics again. They took out of the stimulus package the thing that would help me The first time home buyer credit is back to being a loan for everyone who bought their homes last year. Stupid democrats

So I only have 1 ADR- for Crystal Palace. Is there a chance that we'll be able to walk up to any restaurant first and second week of May? I know the biggies we wont' like Le Cellier but how about 50's prime time or Sci fi? Or maybe San Angel Inn?? Help.

Also, which water park will be better for a 2 year old?

50s Prime Time you can always sit at the bar (though with a 2 year old??)

You can also call, make the ADRs and then cancel if you don't need them. Or call that morning. With my parents living the area we've done that.

What people have reported is that if you want to walk up, get there right as the restaurant opens for dinner and they can take you. With a 2 year old, it's probably easy to eat early.

Also, when we were there last week, we had 6 people and there was only a 20 minute wait for Spoodles at about 630. I'll be posting this in my DR, but at the ESPN Club, you can eat at the Tables in the Bar (they have booths too.) Walk in on the right of the divider (you'll see what I mean when you get there) and look for any open table in the bar area. It's first come first serve. Also Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club and Big River Brewing Co at the Boardwalk don't take ADRs. They're great for walk ups.

We have had good luck with walk-ups to Sci-Fi diner in the afternoon......great way to beat the heat & relax in the dark for a while.....

We have young ones (2yo & 8yo) and usually go to Typhoon Lagoon......not sure that it is set up better for the kids than Blizzard Beach....we just end up there.....I think next trip we will try out Blizzard Beach....
