Conservative Thread: U.S. Steele - Back In Business
So I see that a new thread was made about Obama making a promise or something to not run another term if the Stimulus does not work...is that correct or am I miss understanding the thread?
I heard him and I immediately thought manipulation.
Of course, it depends on what he means by "works". If he's referring to creating bloated, useless, socialist programs then yes, I'm sure it'll work; if he's referring to it working by stimulating the economy, then no, it most likely won't.
Of course, if he gave a tinker's darn about the US then he would have listened to economists who said not to and just waited it out.

I tried to find the picture but couldn't...there's a pic of him in his cowboy hat, fixing fence posts on his ranch while he was on vacation.
I haven't heard that they're moving to Dallas. As far as I've heard them say, they're extremely glad to be home and are going to enjoy it.

They are, they're moving to Highland Park Village and a library will be opened at the SMU campus.

I totally agree with the manipulation. Statistics can pretty much be skewed to prove any point. Unless he creates some concrete factors on which to base the stimulus performance, I'm sure he will be running again. In fact, by some of his actions during his brief tenure, I think he is already campaigning.

Maybe the GOP should run on the "No Yahoos" platform. Since the Dems already have Pelosi, Reid and Frank, they certainly can't use it!:)

Who? :confused3

The only person that I think of when I hear Crawford is Bush and I don't consider him to be a cowboy. Besides, aren't they moving to Dallas? :confused3 I mean, I'm sure they'll keep their Crawford ranch..

:sad2:

I hope this doesn't mean he's a Cowboy's fan. If so, his approval rating just went down a little more. Because I just can't deal with that. :snooty:

I am pretty sure I heard him give a success rubric at a press conference. I'll see if I can find it. But I doubt it matters as I am sure they will spin spin spin how it has helped save the world. So many people love him so much they won't see the truth.

When the economy begins to recover on its own they will take credit too.

I must say my biggest fear is that this spending will make it A LOT worse and if that happens then people will turn on him. But I don't want that to happen because we will all be in BIG trouble. What I am trying to say is for them to not vote for him again the country will be in a depression like state. I think it would have to be that bad for them not to continue the love fest.

I would, too, if I were them; at least there the code pinko commie whackjobs can't protest in front of his home. And they're probably still there.

They're very gracious people. Others scorn and mock them and they remained polite and civil. Unlike someone I know of who told a senator who dared to disagree, "I won. Just remember that". :rolleyes1

I sadly would have to suggest to not put our best out out there. I am afraid that unless Obama falls under 50% in approval ratings (it can go either way, in depends on the public view of the stimulus package), we would just waste one of our better candidates. And I am not really sure of who runs as I am not that familiar with all the Republicans out there. I have heard Jindal's name thrown around. If he is that good, then lets hold off on him unless Obama alienates the whole nation from him. I know many of you believe he is already doing that, but lets take a wait and see approach and see what happens. I hope the GOP takes this into consideration.

I hear what you're saying, but I for one do not want to roll over and hand another 4 years to him and watch our country slip further into the abyss. Even if it isn't a sure thing, I want a politician with the conviction and courage to not put their political career first in their consideration of whether or not it's the right thing to run against him. There is no question in my mind that it would be the right thing to work at defeating him, especially if Pelosi and Reid are still controlling the strings.

Yup. We also need someone who isn't afraid of the MSM, unlike mccain. We need someone who won't back down when the libs start with their "you better shut up" tactics; when ltec hussein injects race or whatever other crap into his campaign...we need someone to call him on it. When he glosses over the damage he's going to do to this country we need someone to say, "No, you did this!" and not let him get away with it.

And don't forget, A LOT can happen in 4 years....who of us would have imagined a junior Senator from IL as POTUS? And all because of a speech he gave at the DNC? well, and because of the ba-jillion dollars Soros contributed, and because Howard Dean cheated in the caucuses, and because the MSM is bowing and scraping to all of the above...

Why is everyone so quiet today???

well i was cleaning my fireplace with my handy, dandy shop vac, and didn't realize that the filter had fallen off, so i sprayed my entire family room, kitchen, and hallway with ashes...so if you don't hear from me, i'm washing, vacuuming, dusting and generally building an entirely new house.

P.S. Wonder: I posted the French Toast Loaf already!!!

i did drool on my computer screen last night as i read your report. good report by the way, thanks for writing it.

You scared me...took me a second to realize you didn't mean here. Whew!
But it still sucks.
And it wouldn't surprise me if LTEC's minions tried to slip it past the American people and get him appointed king for life.

ugh....ashes get over everything and take forever to clean...

yeah...it definitely does. and i'm caring for an extremely ill kitty right now, so all of the little comfy forts and barricades had to be dismantled and cleaned...so she's in another room right now, my poor lonesome little doll.

i'll say this, however...if you've no idea where the cobwebs are because they blend in with your wall paint, try covering them with black ash...you'll see them as soon as the clouds clear.
