He wants to get Osama so bad he can taste it. Think of the PR value. It won't make a lick of difference; there are plenty more who want to kill us, but it'll have a heck of a PR value for a president who has zero credibility with the military and national defense. Bush knew that Osama wasn't the end game, but The One definitely believes he is. He's gonna be so disappointed…"Ya mean there are more of 'em? Aw crap!"

The dems are always all about "right now". All about the sound bite and the 6 o'clock news. They can't grasp the "big picture".

They've lived up to their usual with this "spendulus". It will make some believe it will help. It will move the GDP because money is being pumped into the economy...but, it's borrowed money. There will be principal and interest to pay, taxes raised, inflation, the dollar will be devalued, etc. They can't think past "right now" and that's why we are in this mess....and it's going to get worse.

Its going to be verrrryyyyy interesting to see how the liberal left, who got Obama in feel about this Afganistan thing. This is nothing new with democrats however. They have all been saying for years (think Kerry in 2004) they aren't against war just against the Iraqi war. Now they have to put their money where their mouths are. This will be a very hard war, that is some difficult terrain and I believe there are plenty of Afganis who don't care for the U.S. and want our troops out, not increased.

I am just going to keep praying for our troops and hope they can achieve the goal of keeping America and the rest of the world safe.

Zipp, my church is doing Dave Ramsey right now too. I bought the book and so much of what he says is really profound in that sixth grade kinda way! I really like him and think its a great program. The book alone has helped us. I should take the class but I don't really have the $95 registration fee right now.

And now I am listening to Shepard Smith (why don't they put Glen Beck on his slot?) and apparently GM wants 16 billion more, Chrysler wants another 5. :scared1:  :sad2:

PSA: The os is so desperate to whine about how hard he has it, they are taking information on this thread and "para-phrasing" to their agenda elsewhere. Just a hint folks, the issue is not "HOW" he travels to sign a bill, the issue is "WHY".

ETA: I did not realize there was a real thread on this. I guess I was being little too protective.

I assume he took AF1. And to that I say...so what? I would too.

Yeah, really and truly my issue isn't that he flew in here (CO) on Air Force One its that this bill, that needed to be passed PDQ to keep America from falling apart (how many press conferences did we see where he stated that in the past couple of weeks) had to wait to be signed here, in my lovely home state.

Heck, for me seeing Air Force One was the highlight of my day! I just think its so crazy he had to sign it here. I mean if he wants to come here and hobknob with Mark Udall and other Colorado democrats, check out solar panels on our museum roof and start shoring up Colorado votes for next election, so be it. But sign the bill of GREAT NEED in his office!

I am sorry to any lurking liberals, but to me the man can't do a thing without cameras and hoopla.

Are they pulling a Biden? Are they committing plagiarism?:rotfl:

Oh no!! Don't give him any ideas. *barf*

My first thought was a normally private area with water but I don't want to think about that. :crazy2: I've seen some libs on websites mention that they'd like to 'get close to him', if you know what I mean, nudge nudge wink wink say no more.

I do think that it is a little strange that he just didn't sign the bill in D.C. since he went to Denver to trumpet all of the money spent on green jobs and alternate energy. He used more fuel in this one trip than an average family will use in their lifetime.

While I will never begrudge the Pres. for using Air Force One, I think that he is showing his huge ego and lack of judgment by doing so. I feel that he will be treating the next four years as one big campaign on the taxpayers dime.

:sad2:

Even worse, I won't be surprised if we see more trillion dollar stimulus packages coming down the pike. :sad2:

Rush said the same thing...probably in summer

ETA: I attended the funeral of a 85yo vet today. During the ceremony her family was presented with a US flag on behalf of POTUS. Nothing against POTUS specifically here, but it just made me think what a sad state our country is in, and how this lady who loved her country left this earth seeing it in a total mess. I don't know... just kinda sad about that.

In the past few months, I've attended way too many funerals of dear ones in their 80s - it's so sad to think of our world without these fine people. They were amazing pillars of strength - my generation is supposed to be taking their places but I don't feel that I have their caliber of character....I'm not sure that I'm up for the challenge of our sad future...[although, being on this thread has allowed me to 'meet' quite a large number of brave strong people].

Nah, he wants to bloody him up and prove he's a tough guy. Seriously. I imagine those troops will have one order: Get Osama. We need the PR win.

It's all smoke and mirrors with this guy.

What will he do if he does catch him? Stick him in our courts to be tried as an American citizen?

Okay, now let me see if my math is correct.

The dems passed this bill last Friday. Obama signed it, say 84+ hours later.

Wasn't there room for that 48 hour window? The one for the public to read it?

Pelosi couldn't read it from Rome........

The whole thing stinks!

Obama approves aerospace system for Syria

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama has authorized a Saudi project to supply aerospace systems to Syria, in what was seen as the suspension of U.S. sanctions.

Government sources said Obama directed the Commerce Department to approve the export of U.S. components for Syria's fleet of Boeing 747 aircraft. The sources said a Saudi defense company would supply and install the components in the aging Syrian dual-use aircraft.
The Commerce Department has not confirmed the approval. Boeing, however, acknowledged that Commerce approved an export license for Syria on Feb. 2.

The sources said the approval by Commerce marked a departure from nearly five years of sanctions by the outgoing Bush administration. Under the Syrian Accountability Act, Syria was to be denied all but food and humanitarian supplies from the United States. Bush aides said Syria had used passenger jets to ferry weapons from Iran to Hizbullah in Lebanon

"This was an issue that has been on the back-burner for a long time," a government source said.
The decision would allow Boeing to overhaul two 747s for the state-owned Syrian Arab Airlines. Boeing has contracted its Saudi-based venture, Alsalam Aircraft Co., to conduct the overhaul.

Commerce, however, argued that the repair of the Boeing 747s would prevent air accidents. The sources said the department said this would come within the definition of U.S. humanitarian exports to Damascus.

Syria has reported several U.S. measures to improve relations under the Obama administration. On Feb. 15, Syrian ambassador to the United States, Imad Mustafa, said the U.S. Treasury Department approved the transfer of $500,000 to a Syrian charity.

Mustafa's announcement came on the eve of the visit by a U.S. Senate delegation to Damascus. The delegation was headed by Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman Sen. John Kerry, scheduled to meet President Bashir Assad.

No worries!:rotfl: The libs can't take responsibility for their own actions. They have to blame a republican.:lmao: It's in their "oath".;)
