I read that the train to conservation station starts running at 9:30. Does it start any earlier on extra magic hour days?

Is there more going on there on weekdays as opposed to weekends?

About how long should we set aside for that area?

I think, but cannot remember for sure that the train operation always begins at 9:30 regardless of EMH. At least that seems to have been the case over the course of our several trips in the last year.

Pretty sure it's always the same stuff going on more or less. We can easily spend a couple of hours over there just meeting Chip & Dale as well as Rafiki, then doing the petting zoo. They usually have live animal talks and demos inside the main building, and sometimes there are also veterinarian procedures that you can watch through the glass.

It is a neat area, but unless you have several days so you can go to AK more than once, I'd focus on the main areas of the park and skip Rafiki's Planet Watch.

Here's another question...how often/what time of day do they bring out snakes to greet guests? Silly question, but I have a massive phobia of snakes and I was thinking if I could actually stand near one, or possibly even touch one in a controlled, Disney environment, it might be a way to start facing my phobia.

I know I've seen them there before (couldn't watch as DD8 went up to get her picture taken next to them) but that was years ago.

The Wildlife Express starts at 9:30 AM on AM EMH days also.

And if you are interested in the Vet procedures, they don't do any on Wednesdays.:)

I don't know that there's a set schedule of what animals they bring out. We've seen a rabbit, a lizard, a snake, and a bird at various times when we've been there.
