For DVC, there's a maximum number of 30 days, I believe, that a person can stay in the same villa. As far as I know, that doesn't prevent them from moving to a different villa for another 30 days.
I don't know whether the cash resorts work the same or not.
I believe if is the same. One concern for management is real estate law. They don'g want to be in a pis where there are landlord/tenant relationships, squatter's claims, and other related problems.
Yes, 30 days is the limit for a regular resort room as well as DVC which is also 30 days as @CarolynFH indicted above. You can just need a new reservation. If planning to stays longer than 30 days.
