I just checked out these vouchers on EBAY and felt very sorry for the people buying these. If you look at completed auctions some bought 10 Q&C vouchers for 175.00 +shipping and handling. How can anyone think that would be a bargin?

Not everyone is as informed as you or I. Some people buy them thinking they are getting a bargain--some people think that the fast food at Disney is much more expensive than it really is. Others may think they are getting what we know as the Feature Lunch or Dinner that come as Magical Wishes in some packages. I am amazed that people will pay this for them, but many people are uninformed or misinformed. It is a shame, becasue these people will be disappointed if they do not get what they think they paid for. Although, If they are used at a few places, people may still do a little better than break even.(2 vouchers at B&C usually yield us a tab of $80.00 or so.)

I have bought them on EBay. Paid $30.00 for 2, I didn't feel right about joining just to cancel. We saved over $28.00 even paying $15.00 each. This year we joined Connections. I saw a few days ago a lady had the LINK for Connections on EBAY for $4.00 each.....UNREAL!!!! The auction said buy your vouchers for $11.00, bid and I'll send you the link. It's gone now, hopefully no one fell for that one.

Connections doubled my ordered of these vouchers and left off my Disney passes. They weren't easy to talk to (I hate to say that the customer service rep was right off the boat but that's pretty close; her supervisor wasn't much better, but at least he cancelled my membership before hanging up on me). I had placed a first order no problem. But the second order doubled the vouchers and charged me for them. Since I'm already an Ebayer, I thought it would be easier and a little more beneficial to our vacation fund to sell them on Ebay. I've also answered questions to several Ebayers on how to get these vouchers for $11. For some people, it's just easier to buy them off Ebay.

I think people are paying the prices on ebay just to get the vouchers without the hassle of joining connections. Its too bad the Disney Club doesn't let its members buy them at the same prices Connections sells them for.

I saw that one too and reported it to Ebay, selling URLs is in violation of ebay policy. all 3 of the listings were pulled by ebay.

Now about Connections/Simple Escapes, I just joined ordered quiet a few things and actually plan on keeping the membership. It seems that it will pay for itself.

That is so true!! I'm not even sure they cancelled my membership, I couldn't understand but every third word!!

Way to go....I didn't know it was a violation. (should be too). That must be why they were gone next time I looked.

I wrote a letter and asked Disney whay they didn't just sell the vouchers themselves through the Disney CLub. I rec'd a follow up phone call today, to my surprise. The CM I spoke to said they were looking into the vouchers and wanted to know about people who have had positive experiences using the vouchers. She mentioned the ones they sold at AK this past July and I told her I used them as well as the Connections vouchers. I like them for budgeting purposes, but heck who doesn't like to save a few bucks too! If you would like to see the vouchers offered by the Disney Club and vouchers like the ones they used at AK, write and let them know.

We bought the AK vouchers in mid June. They were great. Bought one adult and one childs and it was enough for my whole family (4) to eat. I do not eat much during the day and our 2 yr old really was not to hungry enough to justify buying her one. I think it would be great if disney sold these.

Is Simple Escapes the same company? (We won't be back at Disney this year so that isn't an issue, but maybe for other stuff).

I know it seems as if some people are paying for their Connections membership by reselling these!

I've considered buying them because I am in Canada and can't join connections. if i could get the vouches at $15.00 that would still be a good deal at beaches and cream, I wouldn't buy many but if the right auction went at the right price I would still consider it.

I think the ones who have truly losted their minds are the people paying the same price or more for the tickets that they can buy at the gate without know whether they are legit or not!!! I guess some people just can't be bothered doing their homework.

Our scout troop went to WDW as a group and we were given the vouchers as part of our Group Package. They were the same vouchers that connections uses. I hope they will make them available to individuals in the future. We sometimes shared meals because we weren't very hungry and had vouchers left over at the end of our trip. We went to the Food Court and gave them away. Boy were people glad to get them for free!

People will buy anything on ebay. I just saw someone bidding several dollars on the promo video that wdw sends out, and others bidding 50+ dollars for one-day one-park passes.

What category are they under on eBay? I looked, but didn't find any. I'd like to buy a few IF the price is right. And I'd rather not deal with the hassle of cancelling and all that.

Thanks,
Lori

I think people are buying them for $30+ apiece because they think that they're good for ANY restaurant in Disney World. They'll be sadly surprised when they learn that they're only good for counter service /fast food.

Someone has posted the link to connections for free on ebay, so hopefully that'll stop the greedy sellers who are ripping people off.

I too feel very sorry for these folks....more than one ad described a meal at B&C by relating that you could buy an, a steak sandwich, onion rings, AND a Kitchen Sink for dessert...

These sellers then added up the prices for the aforementioned and passed this off as an INCREDIBLE buy.....

Can you imagine the horror of ordering a steak sandwich, appetizer, side dish and desert...and finding out the the desert is a Kitchen Sink??????

Of course...I also saw an auction for 2 1 day park hoppers for $325!!!!!!!

Now...if only we could post a link to these boards on Ebay!!!!!

The kitchen sink is $21.99.........so in that instance it is a good buy. Beaches and Cream is also a sit down not counter serve.

Jinnyboom, here's what you get in the Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream....worth every penny of the price too :)

Kitchen Sink - Scoops of Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Coffee and Mint Chocolate Chip, smothered in every topping we have $21.99
