Ok, I signed up for the trial membership with Connections. Could someone please explain how the Disney meal vouchers work? From their website, I understand you pay for a voucher--about $30 for an adult meal, and Connections gives you about $2 back.
So I'm ahead $2.

Just how do the vouchers work? Can I buy anything off the menu and just pay with the voucher? So, if I get $50 worth of food, I'm $20 ahead? Do all restaurants at WDW accept the vouchers? Just how do I come out ahead by using these vouchers? I'm tempted to buy one or two just to "test drive" them.

Any advice appreciated!

This is my second year with connections. I've never heard of getting $2.00 back on them, just read thru my membership and it says nothing. You get $ back on gift card purchases. Not all restaurants take these just a select few and it is hard to get $50.00 worth on them, a few places maybe. All in all you will probably save $5.00 (it does include tip). We bought a few along with the Q & C vouchers.

What you're talking about are the restaurant gift cards. They have nothing to do with the Disney meal vouchers. The meal vouchers are $11.50. I think they are a great value plus the convenience of prepaying for some of your meals helps too. There are plenty of posts on this board discussing the meal vouchers that will help explain them to you. There is also a list of the restaurant where you can use them.

vhoffman---the Q&C vouchers that everyone talks about her has no $$ back. Its still a good deal at some places like Pepper Market at CSR. ITs also a good deal if your a light eater and like to share. I have a family full of guys and they like to eat all their food, lol. I do share with my 2 little ones 3 and 1 since Im alite eater and so are they.
The retail and resturant cards give you money back. We always buy Red Lobster, Bennigans etc and just use them here in town. Our last trip we bought $60 worth of Planet Hollywood cards-paid $60 but got $12 back in rebate so we ate $60 worth of food for $48 plus Im a disney club member so we got 10% off the top of our bill--then paid with our cards. I thought it was a good deal.
I also suse the retail cards alot. Bought $200 worth of Toys R US cards bought an x-box and got $40 rebate back. Not a bad deal on an x-box.
