pirate: What do you guys know about connecting rooms? Is there a set that are better than another? Any "secrets" or suggestions? (My in-laws will be in the next room.)

We are going on a 7 day Eastern Caribbean on May 15.

Thanks!

We had connecting staterooms last time and the kids were in one room and we were in the other. The stewards have little wood blocks that are used to hold the doors open. However, one little nudge to push the door open a fraction more and the block fell out. But thankfully I brought duct tape!!!!

For us the 2 inside connecting staterooms were cheaper than one family size stateroom. It worked out great too.

I agree with everything pursuethekingdom said. We had 2 cat. 10 connecting rooms on deck 2 (2135 & 2137) and they were great. The "door stoppers" go in the top of the door rather than the bottom and they do fall out far too easily. We simply took our stopper out & DH jammed it in there better by somehow turning it/putting it in differently?! Anyway, I also used duct tape to tape over the sliding mechanism in the door so that if it got closed accidentally we could simply push the door open, kind of like a swinging door.

Our location was great, & we would easily stay in the same rooms again. Any more questions, let us know. :D
