Connecting rooms at WL

We just changed our plans for our January trip, and it looks like we'll be spending part of our time at WL. We've only stayed at values until now, so it's very exciting to be looking somewhere new.

We have four young kids, and will request connecting rooms. We've never had a problem getting that request honored before. The kids want bunk bed rooms. Do they have any bunk bed rooms that connect with other bunk bed rooms or do the bb rooms connect with a king room...or what? I assume it's the latter. So, when we book, I will need to select two different room types to get the rooms connecting (ie. a wood view bunk, with a regular wood view)?? My kids would love to get 2 sets of bunk beds, but I highly doubt they have those types of connecting rooms:) .

Thanks in advance.

I would call to make this request!

I can't answer your question, but if anyone can a Diser will be able to! :)

Good luck! BTW we are staying at WL for our first time this December - fun for both of us!!!!

When we stayed at the WL in 2006, we had connecting WoodsView rooms ... one room had a set of bunkbeds and a queen bed, the other room had two queen beds.

If you definitely want at least one bunk bed room you will need to reserve two different room types ... for example one Woods View and one Woods View Bunk Bed. "Bunk bed rooms" are now their own category, whereas in 2006 "bunk beds" was just a request and not guaranteed.

I don't know if it is possible for two connecting bunk bed rooms. Hopefully a WL expert will know and chime in.

We just called to make a reservation at WL today and we are requesting 2 connecting rooms. The woman on the phone told us that we should pick the same setup for each reservation, so we just went with the regular 2 queen beds. I am by no means a WL expert, but this is what I was told on the phone today. So if you want 1 room to be bunk beds you should have both rooms be bunk beds.

You need to keep in mind, though, that if no bunk bed rooms connect to other bunk bed rooms, you will not be able to get connecting rooms - since bunk bed IS a reservable category, at a higher price than some other categories.

They will - or should, at least - assign you to rooms in the category for which you paid. They will not, to the best of my knowledge, change the configuration of a room that connects to a bunk bed room, to provide the Guest with two sets of bunk beds.

Thank you all for your thoughts about this. I figured we wouldn't be so lucky as to get 2 sets of bunk beds. That would take away all of the fun of the sibling fight over who gets the one set :rotfl: Now I know what to ask for when making our reservations.
