We will be staying at the Polynesian next week and were wondering if anyone has had connecting rooms there? My husbands mother and sister will be joining us this trip and we would love to have connecting rooms so the kids could go back and forth between rooms. Last year we had adjoining rooms with my sister at ASMO and that didn't work out well. The only room request we have made so far is 1st floor. I'm afraid to have a balcony with the kids (ages 4,3,1). Are connecting rooms available in all the longhouses and which has the best garden view? Thanks for your help!

Yes, there are connecting rooms at the Poly. We did this last year with my parents who joined us on our trip. It does work out very well especially for the kids. They enjoyed going to visit "Nana and Pop-pop"! We stayed in the Tahiti longhouse. We were on the first floor and enjoyed having the ducks that wander around visit us in the morning. This garden view was nice because it was not on a very busy walkway. Very quiet!

Yes, we had connecting rooms last summer; friends were next door. Our kids had a lot of fun going back and forth between rooms!

We had connecting rooms in Tokelau this January. We loved the location - it was very convenient to everything.

Have a great trip!

We had connecting room in Fiji just two weeks ago. I would call and add that to your requests ASAP.

I've found that if you book the rooms under the same last name you are more likely to get your request for connecting rooms granted. Also, keep in mind that some second floor rooms in certain buildings do not have balconies either but the patios are very nice and convenient. The courtyard surrounded by Tahiti, Tokelau and Rapa Nui is one of the best for a garden view. We stayed in Raratonga on the first floor and despite facing the quiet pool the patio was quite secluded. Enjoy your stay in paradise!
