Connecting rooms at the Dolphin

I have a ressie for 2 standard rooms at the Dolphin 3-21 - 3-26. I have requested connecting rooms (if not connecting, adjoining) on the reservation. Is there anything else I could (or should) do to try insure I get connecting rooms?

I recently returned from the Swan and did get connecting rooms. I requested it on my original reservation, and then sent a request on swandolphin.com about 2 weeks prior to my arrival.
