Connecting Rooms at AS Resorts

We're currently booked in a Nemo suite at AoA for our January trip (4 adults and an infant) with the DV play/stay/dine discount. After running numbers today with the public discount online, we'd save $540 to stay at 2 standards rooms in an All Star Resort (Pop is more?) anyway... we think we have it narrowed down to Sports, but are considering Movies as well. We want connecting rooms. Is it possible to have a connecting king and double room?

You want to request "connecting" rooms - not adjacent or adjoining. Connecting is the term WDW uses to mean an interior door between rooms. You will need to determine the order of priority of your requests - king bed or adjoining rooms.

However, keep in mind that both are only requests and will not be guaranteed. Getting both requests might be considered lucky, though it could happen. For the cost savings, I'd go with the 2 rooms with notation (primary request) to have them connecting or at least near each other so you aren't spread across the resort.

Just a note, AS Music is nice for adults with usually fewer kids than the other AS resorts. And yes, POP does tend to be slightly less $ than the ASRs, though they are all "value" resorts along with AoA.

I'm sorry but you have that backwards. Connecting rooms have an interior door that connects to the 2 rooms togther. Adjoining rooms are next to each other and you have to go outside to go back and forth between the rooms.
