Congress Park section of SSR?

I just wanted toask those of you who have stayed at Congress Park in SSR, what was the walk to Main pool in minutes?
Want to be close enough to Main pool but will probably use quiet pool more often.

The walk from the farthest building in Congress Park would be about a 10 minute walk ( at a leisurely pace) and you'd pass by the neighborhood pool on the way. From the closest building, it's about a 5 minute walk.

Even from the farthest buidling in The Paddock, it no more than a 10 minute walk across the lake bridge to the main pool. In spite of the feeling that the resort is spread out, all areas are readily accessible.

We just got back from SSR and stayed at the furthest building in Congress park and I agree it is a 10 minute walk at most if you take your time. There is also an Internal resort shuttle now so if you didn't feel like walking you could wait for that but at least when we were there it seemed to be on a 20 min cycle.

My family is going to be taking our first Disney trip with our Daughter (18 months old) next week. I'm thinking about requesting Congress Park, but I'm worried about the buses. I see an easy bus stop to access, but how full are the buses by the time they get to this section of the resort? It looks like this section would be the 3rd stop on the bus loop. Will we have a regular issue about the buses being too full for our party of 5 adults and our daughter + stroller? Just looking for some feedback. Thanks!!

Congress Park is the 4th of 5 stops Grandstand stop is first.Grandstand area is a great location.

Just back from SSR last night. The parks seemed to be slowing down. Buses were OK other than at park closing. Love Bugs are coming out. Rained every day. Epcot World Showcase was mostly closed getting ready for food and wine.

Hi Swordsman and welcome to the DIS!

I would think you will be fine next week taking the buses at SSR. They have been fine for each of my stays there, though admittedly we do mostly drive our car to the parks.

Perhaps if it were a holiday period, you may have some issues. But, I think you will be no problems next week. Hope you enjoy your stay there!
