Be sure to check out the
SSR Lover's Thread for lots of discussion on each of the resort's 6 sections, and pros and cons of each.
Will you have a car? Congress Park offers great views of Downtown Disney, but can be a bit of a walk to get to the Carriage House, which is the location of the front desk, restaurants, main pool. There is no drink refill station at Congress Park.
The Springs is the closest section to the Carriage House. It does have some pretty views of the man-made lakes, but has the con of being the last stop on the bus stops. This shouldn't be an issue at this time of year, but when WDW is very busy, it can sometimes be standing-room-only on the buses when they stop at the Springs.
The Grandstand has a drink refill stations at the pool and has some very pretty views of the golf course. It's not too far of a walk to the Carriage House.
The Paddock has increased in popularity since the new themed pool opened there. It offers a quick service restaurant and a drink refill station at this pool. It's also not a far walk across the bridge to get to the Carriage House. This is a big section, though. (The biggest in the resort.) The buildings closest to pool are the ones that match your criteria. Those at the end of the Paddock are actually closer to Congress Park than they are to the Paddock Pool.
Every section of the resort will be convenient to a bus stop. Some buildings, of course, will be closer than others. Check out the series of maps I recently posted in the SSR thread.
