Confusion on Wishes,Illuminations, ets

I'm a newbie trying to plan a trip for my family and I need to start figuring out what all these things are tha t everyone says you can't miss! I think i understand that Wishes is fireworks right? Where are they, do you need to be in a certain park to see them, what else happens at Wishes. Is Illuminations fireworks too? Where are they? I also heard of Fantasiam or something like that. What is that? I'm sorry to sound so stupid but this is all Greek to me and I've got to get this figured out. Also, do you get some sort of map when you get there or beforehand(hopefully!). I will have no idea where to run to the places that everyone says to get to first!!!! O my, my brain is overloading. Please help with anything you got!!

Wishes is the fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom also abbreviated as MK.There is a nighttime time electric parade also at the MK called Spectro Magic. Illuminations is a laser light fire and fireworks show in Epcot. Fantasmic is a nighttime show with some fireworks at MGM studios.

Wishes is best viewed from the front of the MK on mainstreet looking at the castle since t they sort of frame the castle. You can also see them well fromthe beaches of the MK resorts and some of the resturants of the MK resorts.

Wishes is a fireworks show at Magic Kingdom - you would probably be best to be somewhere where you can see the front of the castle.
Illuminations is at Epcot, it is fireworks, lazers, you need to be somewhere where you have a good view of the lake that World Showcase goes around, to see what happens on the water.
Fantasmic is at Disney Studios. It is a sit down (if you get there early enough) show.

Illuminations is every night at 9 P.M.
I think Wishes and Fantasmic are done every night also, but their times may vary

Illuminations is every night of the year. It changes around the holidays both the time and hte content of the show. Wishes isnt every night nor is fantasmic.You need to look at the Dinsey website for when it will be preformed the days you are in the park. If you are planing to be there as your signature suggets NEXT May i would take a look at the disney website for this may to get an idea of the times of the shows



Just be aware you never know the times are subject to change even once the schedules are published.

This Should Help You To Understand And Clear Up Your Confusion. Go To The Main Page And On The Left Side Under Quick Links, Click On Park Hours. This Brings Up Park Hours By The Month. We Are Going In May So I Click On All Park Hours. This Brings Up All Park Hours By Day For The Month. Print This Out, Then Back To Previous Page And Click On Fireworks/parades Only. This Brings Up Fireworks/parades By Day For The Month, Then Print This Out. Now You Can Plan What Park And When To Go. During Our Stay In May, Spectro Magic Is Only Performed On A Sat/tue/fri And Sat, So I Plan Around This. Always Eat At The Liberty Tree Tavern On The Night We See Spectro Magic. Hope This Helps.
