We planning on attending the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on Oct 8th. We may want to hit Typhoon Lagoon, take a nap, and then head to MK for the party. Do I also need to use up a Park Hopper Day at the parks and pay the extra for the party OR can you just buy the tix for the celebration and be let in.
I am confused and need guidance.

And guidance you shall receive :)

You will obviously need to have a ticket for Typhoon Lagoon, but I think you already know that.

For MK however you can enter the Magic Kingdom anytime after 4pm with JUST the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party ticket. You would not need to use a "theme park" day from your hopper pass to get into MK provided you have tickets to the party and it is aftet 4pm. They will give you a wristband when you arrive at MK which signifies you are there for the party and you can enjoy the park from 4pm-6pm doing whatever you like. At 6pm (when the park closes to regular day guests) they will start asking all guests with wristbands to head to Fantasyland (or Tomorrowland...or both) and they will hold you there until 7pm when the party officially starts (this is so they can clear the park of non-party goers, and yes, the rides in the land they are holding you in will be open for you.)

Does that help answer the question? :)

Thanks LibertyBelle!
My DW and I are really getting excited about our trip, ONLY 56 days until we arrive in WDW!!
Have you ever gotten a PS at Liberty Tavern on a MNSSHP night. What is the best time to sit and eat and come on out and begin the festivities?? :wave2:

I actually work at MK, so no I have not had a PS for Liberty Tree :) But I can tell you that if you book one of the latest seatings that they will allow for Day guests (not sure how late they seat on those nights) when you are done with dinner they will hold you there until the park opens for the party (around 7pm)...

Do you have to be a resort guest to purchase these tix? Where can you purchase?

Thanks

No not at all. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party (and Mickey's Very merry CHristmas Party) is open to anyone. You can purchase the tickets at:

http://attractiontickets.tickets.com/buy/TicketTrans#subcat1

click on Special Events and then Mickey's Not SO Scary Halloween Party.

I see your countdown clock says 98 days (I think you fall right between the two parties. The last Halloween party is on October 31 and the first CHristmas party is on November 28)
