Confused over points usage

I currently have 98 points left from my Dec 09 UY (160 pts contract) at SSR. I have also just added on 100 pts at BLT with the same UY - Dec.

If we wanted to come back to WDW in Jan 2010 could someone please set out how many points from which UY I would be able to bank, borrow and use on each contract?

As we come from the UK and stay for 3-4 weeks at a time we ideally need to use 3 years worth of points at a time.

Would I be better off planning for Jan 2011 and banking 09 UY points for both contracts, using 2010 UY pts and borrowing any necessary from 2011 UY pts? If I did this would I be able to book in Feb 2010 or any earlier?

If you wanted to go in Jan 10 you would have -

SSR 09 UY = 98
SSR 10 UY = 160 to borrow

BLT 09 UY = 100
BLT 10UY = 100 to borrow

So would have a total of 458 points.

If you went in Jan 11 you would have full points for both contracts in UY 10 could bank both UY 09 = 198, then would be able to borrow UY 11 which is 260 point so grand total of 758 points.

For any reservation at a home resort maximum booking window is 11 months out.

Maybe not if they are BLT points with a Dec UY, depends on when the unit is available I guess, but I think I read somewhere there are no 08 UY points for BLT.

Brilliant, thanks Claire, that is what I had thought, but my usually excellent guide confused me when I asked! He was a bit flustered I think!

Yes that's right, no 08 UY pts for BLT.

There is a possible extra 100 pts coming my way though as my guide is going to ask MS to to put my 100 developers pts into this vacation and give me 100 of 08/09 pts back as I can't come back to use my developers pts by Oct 3rd this year!
