I just got off the dream and wouldn't mind writing one, how do I do this. It seems they are done differently everywhere. How should I layer it out and write it. Thanks!

First, you need to go over to the Cruise Trip Report thread. There is no set format. I start mine from the beginning with a little intro about the trip and then go from there in chronological order. I love to see lots of pictures in trip reports so I add many in mine. However, I don't add a lot of personal family pictures, just places I see. Just be yourself. You're not writing the next great American novel, just about what you did and saw. Have fun with it. Let your sense of humor come out.

There is no rule on how to write a trip report. Sometimes it comes easily and perfectly; sometimes it’s like drilling rock and then blasting it out with charges. All you have to do is write one true sentence. Write the truest sentence that you know.

Some people are natural story tellers and that comes out in their trip reports. Some are not, but they give an accurate account of their sailing with a few pics etc. Both are perfectly fine and those that read TRs will enjoy both just the same.

We read for two reasons: information and entertainment and not necessarily both at the same time.

Imagine your teacher was requiring a report about what you did on vacation. Do that.
