We want to get our kids the Wii Game system for Christmas. Target and Walmart have bundle packs. But it looks like you have to buy controllers separate? Wireless? Very confused, hope some one can help. Thanks.

I'm not an expert, but you should get one regular controller and one nunchuck with the game. I bought a second controller and nunchuck. It was about another $30 for both. I also bought the Wii Balance Board which I think I saw recently on sale for about $70. It retails for $100 and was sold out for the two weeks leading into Christmas and all of January and February. If you think you might want one, I would get it now. You might also want to check Amazon for a good deal.

It used to be when you buy Wii Sports you got another controller included. The packs they are selling now have Wii Resort and the Wii motion plus. You still should invest in another controller and a Wii docking station that recharges rechargable batteries. There are many other accessories to buy out there like the dance mats, Wii Fit board, wheel for Mario Kart. But to start our with just buy another controller and nunchuck.

Just curious...does each remote come with batteries and fully charged for Christmas morning play or do you need to prepare the remotes ahead of time?

Wii Remotes use regular AA batteries unless you buy a rechargeable docking station that comes with rechargeable batteries. I highly recommend the charging station because the batteries run out quickly if you use the remotes a lot.

The Wii usually only comes with one Wiimote & one nunchuck, so you will need to buy another of each for 2 people to play together.

They do not come with batteries, so be prepared with some AA's on Christmas morning so the kids can play. Also, make sure you read the set up instructions - you have to sync the Wiimotes with the console in order for them to work. A lot of people miss this step & then wonder why the remotes aren't working.

I would invest in rechargeable batteries. The batteries last a decent amount of time but you still will need to replace them at a rate that rechargeables will pay off.
