Confused about when to book

When is one able to book their non-home resort? Is it just 7 months out or 7 months to the actual date? We need a 1 bedroom Kidani or Jambo house villa for Feb. 22, 2013. Are we in that window now or do we have to wait until July 22 to try to book? I'm renting points from a friend and it's her husband who knows all the ins and outs. She's not sure and I don't want to unnecessarily bug them to get a move on this if we can't book it yet.

7 months to actual date.

for a mid-feb reservation, you'd have to wait till mid-march of the prior year to book your home resort and 4 months after that for a non-home resort.

Home Resort: 11 months from check-in date
Non-Home Resorts: 7 months from check-in date
