Confused about tickets?

I have not been to Disneyland before only to WDW a couple of times.

I will be buying a park hopper ticket while we are at Disney staying off site.

I'm confused about Early morning hours (EMH) is this the one where you get to go to a park early on set day with your park hopper ticket or it the one for Disney hotel staying guests only?

EMH is for hotel guests, Magic Morning is for guests with park hoppers of 3 or more days. Magic Mornings are only for Disneyland as of now, not California Adventure. You enter the park one hour prior to regular opening with your ticket on select days, which are now Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
