I have never camped at Ft. Wilderness and this will be the 1st time. The last time I was at WDW we stayed at POFQ and I recieved room keys with my resort id my name on it and it was our ticket to get into the park as well, it looked just like a credit card. What I wanted to know was since I wasn't satying in a resort hotel room and I am staying in my camper at Ft. Wilderness do I just get paper tickets for my park hopper tickets? Or do they still give me what I think is called "key to the world?" a card with my name on it to get into all the parks. I also was reading how you get a card to get into the bathrooms after hours at the fort, is this the ticket as well? or is this a seperate card I have to hold onto just for access to the bathrooms and laundry facilities?? If you don't get a ticket card for park access when camping is there a way to do this anyway so I don't have to have paper tickets I would rather have the plastic card tickets instead, it's easier for me to hold on to. Please help me clear up this BIG confucion!!! thank you bunches in advance!!!:)

You will recieve a Key To The World (KTTW) card when you check in. On this will be your tickets and it will allow you access to the comfort stations at night. It can also be used to charge to your room (if you want it to) purchases made around property (except for a few places like stands).

Less you are on a package deal the Key To The World will only give you access to the comfort stations at night and access to the campground. you can also use it to charge back to the site.If you buy your tickets at the park they will be the paper type.

I always use my key as a credit card as well. Instead of having a huge list of what I charged during my stay on my bank statement I have 1 charge on there at checkout. We have seasonal tickets so it doesn't double as a ticket for us but for most I'm sure it's great to only have to worry about 1 card.

Even if you purchase a separate MYW ticket, if you haven't used it yet, you can have it placed on your KTTW card to have only one card to use.

However, if it is some type of Annual Pass, then it can't be added to the KTTW card.

OK, I have one for you...a mindboggler....

We are first staying at the CR. We got the package with the park tix which I am sure will be on our CR KTTW. However, we won't use any of the days in the parks while we are staying at CR. When we check into FW, is it possible to transfer the park tickets to our FW KTTW/comfort station card? :headache:

Yep, unless things have changed, "Carousel of Policy" you know :-)

On a trip we had in May 2006, my son had 4 days left on his MYW non-expiring which was keyed to his room key at All-Stars.

We kept the key.

We returned to Ft. Wilderness in December 2006, I was able to transfer the remaining days to his new room key at Ft. Wilderness.

Super! Thanks for the help!

That wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be!:goodvibes

Wait a minute...if you bought a "package stay", aren't the tickets tied to the "package" and are only good for the days of the "package"? Therefore, if you don't use them the days of the "package", they expire?

Not necessarily. I think tickets expire 14 days from first usage. Wait, no, if it is a package then...okay, wait, now I'm totally confused.

MYW tickets are no longer tied to package stays. As long as you don't start the clock ticking by using them, they don't expire.

If you buy a complete "package", including tickets, those tickets wouldn't be MYW tickets, would they? They would be "package" tickets, only good for the time of their stay. I'm just trying to get this clear so disney_dreaming08 doesn't lose those tickets.

Since Magic Your Way tickets were introduced, there are NO MORE "package" tickets that expire with your package.

There is a requirement to purchase MYW tickets in order to have a "package", but they can be for any length from 1 day to 10 days, they can be upgraded to include any of the options including park hopping, water park fun & more, and nonexpiring.

However, unless you actually "use" the first day on those tickets, even expiring tickets do not expire.

The all inclusive tickets that came with resort packages in the past NO LONGER EXIST.

I think the ONLY place there might be some "length of stay" passes are the Stars & Stripes passes offered at Shades of Green.
