Confused about rates.

I received a "Return to the Magic code" .. Of course it excludes my favorite POFQ for the 12/7 to 12/11 dates.. Get the "Offer Not Available at this resort" message..

OK so I opt for the POR which shows up as available on the offer for the same time frame, add on a 4 day ticket with hopper and it comes to about $1620...

Then I decide to look at POFQ for the same dates at regular price with the same ticket options.. Much to my surprise it was $1603...

Less for the "Full Price" room at PO than a supposed "Discounted" room.. When I went on chat with a Disney rep I got an answer that was pretty vague about room availability.

What am I missing here???

I don't know much about POFQ (family of 5 so I don't bother researching 4 person/room resorts), but maybe a room category difference? Is the only cat. with availability under that code maybe preferred & the POFQ room a standard?

My first thought was room category also. Room rates at POR can vary by as much as $70 or so depending on the category. Frequently room discounts at moderates are about $50-70 off rack rate, so that would make sense that a standard room at POFQ would be the same rate as a discounted preferred room or Royal Room at POR.
