Confused about pooled credits

I have read a few threads and am now more confused than ever! I have 2 rooms booked at BC for our family of 5, now DH and I are in one room, grandma and our 2 kids in the other room. We have been given 2 reservation numbers for the rooms, so I guess these are seperate bookings even though I booked and am paying for it all.

My question is, how will the DDP credits work? will me and DH have credits just for the 2 of us on our KTTW cards and my Mom have credits for her and the kids on her card? Is there anyway that I can have all the credits on my card as it will always be me dealing with paying the bills etc? Or wont they allow my Mom's and kids credits to be pooled with mine and DH because they have a seperate room reservation number? I did ask if Disney could put us all together on one reservation but they said they had to have seperate reservations for each room even though we are one family?

Yes, and there are no other options. Even though you are dining together, you'll get two checks for each meal.

We just came back from Pop Century but had reserved our 2 rooms on one reservation number. Because of that, all the DDP credits were pooled between the two rooms. With your two reservation numbers, you will probably have credits assigned separately, respective to the number of occupants.

However, nothing prevents you from using any or all your credits from one room first, then charging meals as needed to the other room.

For example, if you are staying 5 nights, you will have 10 Table Service (TS) credits for your room and 15 TS credits for grandma and the kids, 25 total. You could charge off your room for the first two nights (10 TS credits) then charge off grandma's room for the remaining three nights (15 credits).

It will be a little more difficult tracking all the snacks credits because of the two accounts but you can always ask the front desk to run some quick reports, even daily if needed.

That doesn't sound right. We've booked two rooms plenty of times and always had one ressie number for both rooms. The only times we had different numbers were when we had to "split our stay" to take advantage of a discount code. Even then, both rooms were on one reservation, we just had different numbers based on check-in dates.

you really can't do that

if there are 2 adults listed on a card, then the CM will take off 2 ts credits and no more. They are very strictly regulated as to what they can do

Credits CANNOT be pooled between 2 reservations. People have reported much problems when attempting to do this in the past

just use a card from each room - give to the server and they will process correctly

good luck and have a great time! :thumbsup2

Yeah-we had 6 in 2 rooms and I think it was the last day before I got my act together. When you get you KTTW it will say who's in what room ie. 2 adults 1 child, or 1 adult 1 child-something like that. Figure out which adult(s) and child(ren) go with what room and order accordingly with each card. Or if 1 person is ordering for everyone, order for all those on 1 card and then order for everyone on the other card. I'm so used to ordering stuff for my family: me, then my husband and then the 4 boys in order of age. Subsequently I and the cashier got screwed up more than once. Hope this helps!
