Confused about point transfer

I am hoping you all can help me with this. I have a December use year and usually visit in January. For 12/05 I received 160 points and used them so I have zero 05 points. I am planning a 5 night trip to SSR reserving a 2BR villa. The points needed are 162 - so I am short 2 points.

I have tried to buy 2 points to transfer to my account but so far no luck. My trip is scheduled for 1/13-18 so I am kind of running out of time to complete my reservation right at the 11 month window.

So after that long winded explanation - here is the question. If I need to borrow from my 2007 points is it possible?

Yes you can borrow your 2007 points if needed for that reservation.

Keep trying, you might get lucky on getting some points transferred into your account.

Because your use year is December, aren't you still in your 05 use year? If that is true, you can only borrow your 06 points which would be 160 points. I don't think you can borrow your 07 points until after December 06. I hope someone can confirm that though.

Good Luck on renting two points. You might have better luck renting enough points for a whole nights stay and not borrowing all of your points. People might not want to bother with just two points, but they would be willing to rent say 10-20. Don't know just my thoughts.

Cobbler is correct -- you can borrow the 2 points you need from your '07 UY.

You have a December use year. Your trip on 1/13-18/07 falls in your '06 UY. So your 160 '06 UY points are valid for that stay and you can borrow the additional 2 points you need from your '07 UY.
